This is some pretty good stuff. You'll notice a change immediately after you put it up. The "key" to a good instal is make sure the window is CLEAN and the edges are free of silicone, puddy etc. Pre measure then pre measure again then cut the film. It can be a pain to work with as unroll and prepare to cut. Get a large straigt edge and a razor blade. Measure twice then run the razor blade down the straight edge for a superior straight edge. Next, wet the window. Get a helper. Unpeal the clear layer for the film.. Be careful and go slow...add some spray just to get it wet in prep for the window. next wet the window again and the film. use both hands and apply the film to the window. it will want to stick to the spray film you applied. Use your hands and help it lay down flat. Next, use your silicone edge to move the solution from the center to the edges. Use a towel to wipe up the excess solution. Move as much water out as poosible. keep holding it in place. When you think you have got all the solution out look it over again and run your squeege on it again. Look at the window and film from all angles. Keep moving the puddles out. Use your towel to mop up the water on the edge of the window frame. Thats it. After doing three windows I had some material left over. So far I'd give it five stars. Real easy to install but the key is the prep. Take your time. It looks great. If i end up with major bubbles or just poor quality material not lasting I'll update this. ... show more

When I was getting ready to apply this product I worried that it was going to be thin like the car tint but after peeling the clear sheet I love how it felt and didn’t stick when folding. This was so convenient when covering our big windows and glass doors. Then I sprayed some some soap and water and it was so easy and satisfying to clear the bubbles. Even though the product clearly states that the One Way Mirror only works in sunshine, I did not notice that part so I am commenting so someone else doesn't expect it to work at night also. Other than that, this is a nice product and installed fairly easily. I had to get rid of the dated sheers on our deck door. I decided to use these frosted panels and am THRILLED with the results! They don't cover the entire area of glass. There is exposed glass about 1/2" - 3/4" around the outer perimeter. I like it though. I can slightly see outside and like that I can see some green from the trees. It's almost like it's framed and the neighbors still can't see in. I went outside at night and turned the indoor light on. I could only make out shapes and movement - no detail. I don’t know why I keep buying from Amazon, but when I needed a quick fix for my sliding doors I thought “why not?” But boy, do I wish I did anything else. I’ve stuck vinyl on widows and things before, but this one is a pain. It comes rolled up with a clear acetate which is a pain to peel and is staticky so it will gather pet fur and dust before try to peel it back from the window when applying. You also need an obscene amount of window cleaner to get this vinyl to stick- if you think one or two pumps of cleaner will due, you’re wrong.if you don’t use enough the edges will peel giving it an unsightly appearance and you will have to redo the entire sheet. I got a little better at sticking this with time, so some of this is user error, but for all that is good it shouldn’t have been that difficult. If you’re a vinyl god and everything works for you, the application looks very nice. It does have a polished, frosted look which is pleasing and still lets lots of light in, but good luck getting it on that way and not going crazy! ... show more

It was easy to apply. Just make sure you use something to help get the bubbles out. We used a squeegee and for the smaller ones a card. We mainly got it because we live in a hot climate and our bedroom is mostly windows. We applied this to the sun facing windows and it has helped keep the room cooler. Really effective at reducing the amount of heat that comes through the window, I noticed the difference as soon as I got the film up. There's no huge changes in the view with the film on, you only notice a difference if you're doing a side by side comparison. The light is a bit bluer/less yellow and outside looks a bit blurring but that's it. From the outside everything is reflected, and the reflection is better when its more sunny out. The film was nice and thick but the plastic backing was very curled so it was hard to apply by myself. I laid the film out and tried to press it flat for a few days but it didn't help. Also, if you have pets just accept that there's gonna be some hairs trapped under the film no matter what. I cleaned my windows several times and vacuumed and lint rolled myself but fur still got trapped somehow. You can use water or windex to apply the film; windex makes it easier to reposition buy harder to smooth out the bubbles because the film slides more. Make sure you're using a brand new blade edge every few windows because a dull blade makes it almost impossible to get a nice straight edge. I found a squeegee pulled the film too much so I used a hardcover book wrapped in a teatowel instead. I tried a few different brands of reflective film when doing the windows in my house and didn't notice any difference between them, so just go with whichever brand is cheapest at the moment. ... show more
