Decided if we were going to do it, we'd do it right and went with the Classic. High grade steel and made in Spain vs...you know... Shouldn't have waited so long! Buy once...cry once, and then just enjoy them for what will probably be the rest of my life. Super sleek cutting block and it even smells good, like cedar wood. We bought these to replace our 15 year old Wusthof knives. We have had these just a few days. I really like the self sharpening block. The knives are heavier on the handle than our old Wusthof knives which may make for a more balanced knife. Wusthof tip towards the blade end, and the Henckels tip toward the handle end. I will update this review if I find any criticisms. So far so good. ... show more

After getting a taped up, returned, resold box first, it arrived really fast, again in no additional packaging. The product is beautiful and we look forward to enjoying them for the rest of our lives. We will saw off about 4” of the block though, because it’s bigger than it needs to be (dwarfs the old set!!).
