We’d previously had an earlier version of the Hello Baby baby monitor with two cameras. The previous version didn’t have the side by side viewing capability. This one does and it’s the best!! The ability to see both my children at the same time was a must. This version also has added the date and time on it. That’s a nice addition. We had a hard time finding a camera that wasn’t already too zoomed in when we put it up. This camera is a quality distance away and allows to see the whole crib with the camera put up by the ceiling. You are also able to see what the room temp is and talk to your child via the microphone on the camera. Overall, it is a wonderful product and we are very happy with it! This baby monitor is amazing, the quality is so good. Very clear, sounds is great. Also very easy to use and install. Don't forget to purchase the mount as well, I love it and it's very sturdy.

The media could not be loaded. Our old baby monitor of 4 years finally started having issues so when looking at replacing just the camera on our old setup, it was actually cheaper to get an entire new setup. I picked this one thinking the video quality (double the last one) would be way better and it actually doesn’t seem that much better - the contrast in night mode sucks, everything seems whited out. There is a sound delay from the camera to the monitor also, which is super annoying when your kids need their door open to go to sleep and you’re right down the hall… makes it hard to understand anything. Even with our monitor from 4 years ago, it didn’t have that happen. This handheld monitor seems flimsy compared to our old one and I’m worried that one accidental drop, it’s going to break. I’m wishing we had just paid a little extra and just replaced our previous baby monitors camera that was lagging instead of going with this brand. If you use “eco mode,” it shuts off both the video AND sound!! I still would like the sound even if the video shuts off after a while (and the screen shuts off after 5 secs in eco mode - not very long). I would pick another brand if I were you… UPDATE 8 days after using: Monitor is even worse than I thought. Connection issues constantly, you can see what I mean in the video attached; the camera and monitor are even in the same room! That’s the screen I get for 30 seconds almost every time I turn the monitor on and I’m just down the hall from the camera. The echo in the monitor because of the delay is even more annoying than I thought - have a hard time understanding anything. And my kids who are old enough to communicate with us told me they can’t understand me when I talk to them through the microphone. I’m thinking it is actually worth all the effort to return this garbage even after making two new big holes in the wall. ... show more

I actually purchased this for my personal usage because my mother was getting older and ages and I was supposed to take care of her and with the baby monitor. I can see when she’s in the bed or getting out of the bed so this is definitely a user-friendly piece of equipment for babies and adults.

Saw the camera and monitor and knew that this was the one. We loved that it does not work on WiFi, that was a big selling point for us, but maybe not for you. However about a week after I got it, the monitor started to not hold a charge. No matter the settings I had on or off, how many times I reset it, just super frustrating. So I contacted HelloBaby directly - I let them know what was happening and without question they sent me a replacement one. I had a new camera and monitor within 2 days!! I contacted them Friday, heard back Saturday and it was here by Sunday! The monitor is working great so far (only been a day) but I felt it only right to compliment the customer service! The battery on the monitor does not last long at all and when charging it, you have to literally leave it charging overnight and still it doesn’t fully charge.
