    • Thin tubing - Does not support heavy kayaks well

First off, be careful not to over tighten the bolts as it will crush the the thin tubing they used for this. Second, you have to be very careful on how you strap down your kayaks to these as they are made with tubing that is too thin and will easily bend at the bolt holes. Had they even made the tubing all one piece, it would have greatly helped with these issues. If you are looking for something long term, definitely invest a little more into something else, but if you just need something to get you by for one summerthan this might suite your needs. ... show more

The directions were schematics. The two bolts that hold the bracket to the car or in my opinion a little bit too long had to cut each one of them off about an inch so they wouldn’t hit the top of my car I did try them out and had no problems with the kayak getting loose or moving around.

So far so good! We are new to the kayaking world, so putting these on our car we’re of a learning curve. They work perfectly for getting our kayaks to and from the house. I would recommend getting better straps, they work, but just to be sure we used our thicker and more heavy duty straps!
