Because I have a cutting machine, this is an accessory I have been hoping to try for a while, as my regular iron needs to have the water poured out every time I wish to do an iron-on applique. I like the size of this heat press--about 5x7"--which is big enough for the small graphics that I typically do on t-shirts and tote bags. I don't usually do larger graphics with heat-transfer vinyl, but I expect this would also work just fine doing half a pressing, followed by the other half, if necessary. The surface area of this press is still bigger than that of my clothes iron. I've had no issues using it on about a dozen projects so far (I'm a hobbyist, not a professional.) To press, you can set the temperature using the buttons, and raise or lower the temperature in 5-degree increments. The press reaches its temperature, usually, in about two minutes (less if it's just warm). One nice feature of the instruction manual is a chart of what temperatures to use, by fabric type and vinyl type. While heating, the main press sits in its vented cradle, with silicone lifters in each corner. To turn it off, you can use the power button (the screen turns off so you can tell), or, even better, I always unplug. The power plug is not a grounded one, so I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it plugged in all the time. ... show more

I've only used this a couple times so far but it works great! I have no complaints...maybe smelled a bit weird first time I turned it on, but that's to be expected. It didn't last and didn't transfer any weird smells. Very nice and I would recommend to those that can't afford the name brand one.

This is perfect for the small, home-based business looking to get into T-shirt making, but can’t either afford the price of a big professional heat press or that doesn’t have the room in their home office for yet another big gadget. This was shipped in its original box, no shipping box, but was packaged with enough styrofoam that no harm will come to it. Right out of the box, I noticed this had a nice solid feel to it. Nothing rattled or shakes, it’s solid with a good heft to it, without being heavy. The instructions it comes with are super simple and easy to comprehend. They provided cute little designs to try out, so even if you don’t yet have a sublimation printer or ink, you can still test it out. It comes with a nice bag to store it in. It also comes with a heat resistant resting stand which it nestles into nice and snug for added safety. This couldn’t be easier to use and it turns out great results. This is perfect for upping your craft or small business game! My only negative is that I ordered the violet colored one and the actual color is more cobalt blue, but that really doesn’t matter all that much when compared to how great this is. ... show more

This is my first time using an iron machine like this. I'm really excited to expand my crafting abilities! This is a very solid iron, with a decent amount of weight behind it. Enough so that it sits solidly in place and holds your projects down evenly, but not so much that it's a struggle to lift. When you power it on, you can adjust the target temp - it remembers your last time and temp settings. If you don't adjust them, it will default to last used. When it gets to temperature, it will beep several times. Then you carefully lift it from its heat protection base and apply it to your project. Hit the time button and start to start the time. It will beep again when it's done. The iron comes with 3 iron on designs. I don't know if they're different for everyone, but mine were animal themed and absolutely adorable. Its user guide is well written in English only and includes a guide to recommended temperature and time settings by fabric. This is a great item to pair with custom cutout tools like the Cricut machines! ... show more

This is nice little heat machine for heat transfer vinyl. I comes with a heat resistance base, a bag, three sample designs and user manual in English (I know got to mention that). you can set temperature and time which is shown in small display. It remembers the temperature setting from your last use. You can also change the temperature unit (F/C) if you prefer one or other. It works perfect for small transfers on T-shirts. Heating was fast and uniform the heat resistance base is quit handy for keeping the unit at rest. It's fun for your creative projects, does exactly what it says.
