One of my goals in writing reviews is to wait some time and know if the tools I recommend are really good. In this case, luckily I did it. Arguably one of the best mark tools I've bought. Unlike some of the ironing-erasable marker pens I've had, with these pens it's very easy to mark without the fabric constantly moving, the ink comes off easily. But in one of my latest projects I used the pink color on a white fabric. And unfortunately, a spot of marking remained that only came off in the wash.     • Great pens
These worked great for tracing a pattern on top of my quilt. I don’t have a large quilting table so I’m having a hard time using a template, and I thought these would make it easier if I just trace the template pattern right where I want it on the quilt then all I will have to worry about is moving the quilt instead of trying to move the quilt following the template, and trying to keep the template still with enough pressure to move it all. If you quilt you know this is a challenge if you don’t have a long arm or a desk where you can drop your machine in. If this is a goal for you too, these pens are great. So far I’ve only used the red, but it shows up just enough and goes away when heated. I love that they’re refillable and come with many refills as well. They’re much better than those disappearing fabric pens. I think those ones disappear over time rather than with heat, but I’m not sure, I’ve only used them once a long time ago, but I do know that they dry out fast, don’t show well on darker colors, and they’re expensive for just one pen.     • Okay for the money, so long as you don't need the white pen
If you are working with light color fabrics, these should be fine. The blue, red, and black pens worked fine for me, and even had okay visibility on darker fabric (although they seemed pretty watery?). However, if the main reason you're thinking about this product is for the white pen, then I suggest looking elsewhere. The white ink shows up for only a second before fading away as it dries, or at least it did every time I tried using it (and i tested several of the refills just to be safe). Regardless, the ink does disappear if you apply heat, so the other colors certainly work as intended. I don't think these are a bad option for the price, especially if you're just starting out with sewing and don't want to break the budget, but it may be worth paying a bit more for something nicer. ... show more

    • Don't buy these marking pens
I bought the pens for the white ones. You have to press really hard and go forwards and backwards on the fabric several times to make them stand out even a little bit. I'll stick with Pilot Fusion pens even though they don't have white.
