I have a tendency to be a little heavy-handed when using pens and pencils, so I have to be careful with these as they are quite thin. They feel a little fragile when I use them, but so far, no issues. I like that they are a good quality - they provide a nice line and erase easily enough if you make a mistake. Container is compact, convenient, and attractive. Marking chalk is more fragile than I'm accustomed to and breaks into soft shards with little pressure. Moderately functional. Would not purchase again.

They’re thin. Thinner than I thought. So thin are they that I think I just cracked one with my mind whilst thinking of the word wafer. But that’s silly, it probably arrived precracked then broke when light hit it. Maybe my light bulbs aren’t soft enough for chalk this thin. I’m just sayin’, they are slight. Their thinness exceeds my expectations. But they do make fine lines if you can pick one up without compromising its structural integrity. I’m going to keep trying and give them a chance. Maybe they’re not as crumbly in a more humid climate. I don’t know but now they have me craving tea & sugar wafers. Toodles… ... show more

I'm a quilter, and over the years, I've used regular chalk, erasable markers and pens, and pencils. This chalk is easy to use, easy to see on fabric, and it disappears in the wash. It feels good in my hand, and I don't find it fragile at all - I used one piece of chalk to mark 150 half square triangles, and it's still in good shape. The chalk seems decent enough, and clearly you need to use a light touch, but it's CHALK. It is fragile even in thick stick form. I like the container (once I realized to open it point down so they stayed in place!). But I only got red, blue and white, not the full color range pictured online, so that cost a star. ... show more
