The battery life is pretty amazing The adjustable headband is great and offers a versatile fit. It can fit my children’s head along with my nephew, even accommodating his Afro. They are lightweight. Amount and quality of light are great. 40 minutes on high are about all you can expect, but for the price very hard to beat. Motion switch works better than expected, but moving your head by objects triggers it too. When these die I will buy more of same.

Pros: These are great for reading, writing, or typing but they are especially useful any time when light is limited or not at all. They are lightweight and provide various levels of brightness from two different light sources (the strip along the front of the headband and the tiny side flashlight). Motion detection is an added convenience. I like the flash signal for late-night walks alerting motorists of my proximity. Being rechargeable saves money too. The 'C' type USB cable conforms to the latest computer standards. So, if you lose the charging cable you will most likely have an extra one or two stashed in a drawer someplace if you've acquired any number of rechargeable techs in the past 5 years. I bought the 3-pack to stash in the car, the garage, and my bedroom. I highly recommend at least keeping one on hand in case of an unexpected power outage. Cons: The charging time can be more than 4 hours and that would be a pain if you forget to recharge. The headband may not fit exceptionally large heads, as was the case with my brother. He can't wear ballcaps as well due to his oversized cranium, so that may be a factor for some. ... show more

I bought 8 to give a Xmas gifts which were a hit for the dudes and boys in our freinds group. They seem good enough as an emergency light to have in your car or homr junk drawer but will not last as a heavily used work or camping light. The strip of lights on the forehead do get warm which just gets a bit uncomfortable when directly on the skin. The lights aren't very bright for use over 6 ft away for broad beam or 15 ft for spot light. Of the two units I kept for my family to use we already had one of them partially stop working after only light use and one charge because one of the soddered wires to the headband lamb broke free. I like the idea of these kinds of lamps and would pay $60 for one that was made with more quality. ... show more
