I read and viewed several good online reviews so I bought one. Be sure to purchase the kit with the reflector. It almost double the light output and concentrates the light when the reflector is used. Neoprene case fits the lantern tight and it doesn't rattle. Wished the reflector would fit in the case too but it doesn't. For me it puts off just enough light to read by or see a map. Maybe younger eyes it would be better. Overall I'd recommend. Plan on buying UCO's larger Candlelier lantern too. ... show more

Small, portable, bright. The only downsides are the top gets hot (But I mean, it's fire. What did you expect?) and that the chain can get annoying if you want to use only your hand. Otherwise, it is good enough to use for illumination and even heating in small clean spaces, and adds a nice atmosphere that electric lights can never properly replicate. ... show more

This is a great alternative light source for emergencies or fun. If your electronics are soaked or you can't find the batteries this is a great go to. It's small, and came with a neoprene case so it's easy to pack for convenience.

I saw a lot of good reviews from bushcraft bloggers and campers on YouTube about this lamp. And I wanted it. I bought the lamp for camping and emergency shutdowns. I am very glad that the protective glass did not break during transportation. The lamp body, light reflector, and protective case, with them everything is fine. The candle from the kit was deformed, and the second one melted, and the aluminum plate stuck to the candle. There is an unpleasant moment with the lid at the bottom, it doesn’t close tightly... But in general, I’m glad that I already received it, and I think that spending the night in nature will become more interesting and comfortable, and will give nostalgic memories. ... show more
