  • Light weight and compact
Color: White
I bought this peddle for hand exercising. For this it does serve its purpose being light weight and compact that you can basically use any table for it to sit on but a small foldable tables will shake when you use this machine if you don't put you foot on of the table's leg frame to keep it solid. The tension doesn't seem strong it is either too loose or not tight enough and the tension knob is not that clear. You have to turn it several times left or right to completely loosen it or completely tighten it. The peddle is not that smooth when you turn it and it gets very jerky when you tighter you make it. It doesn't seem like it is a magnetic peddle and I have never seen a manual nonmagnetic peddle this jerky before. The digital meter meter is very confusing. It is very difficult to tell which mode you are on until you start turning the peddle. One mode is timer and the other is turns. I am not exactly sure about the other modes. One good feature about timer mode is it stops the timer where it is as soon as it detects about 3 seconds of nonmovement or very slow movement forcing you to exercise to complete proper peddling for example 15 minutes. Despite these drawbacks if you just need a peddle for plain simple exercise this is more than enough considering the price. ... show more

  • An inexpensive peddler that is quiet and works.
Color: White
I actually purchased 2 of these so my wife would have one too and I would not have to hunt the one down. I also purchased 2 of these as the proverbial "Scratch and Dent", and while the first one was actually complete (yet sounded terrible as the battery holder on the counter broke loose, which was an easy fix.) and the second one was missing the soft rubber feet and strap (minor as I had spare straps that are long enough). The feet pads for the second peddler I cut from a sheet of 1/4 inch Neoprene, the feet pads in the image are actually from the first peddler, but they kept coming loose, so I glued the foot pads of both peddlers with the "B-7000" adhesive (purchased a while ago for another project.), as you can see in the image. The adhesive and the Neoprene are from Amazon. The first peddler had not been assembled, the second peddler was partially assembled (to be expected when buying a "scratch and Dent"/"Used" item. As for the peddling use, these do work quite well for recovering range of motion and they are quiet even with a bit of peddling resistance (which is adjustable via that knob), so you can watch TV while peddling, and since you are not paying as much attention to the excercise if watching TV, you end up using it for more time than you realize, and you do feel the muscle fatigue after a while too (which you should). Plus you can use it with a comfortable chair too. The strap, which is nominally 6 feet long keeps the peddler from sliding away from you as you use it, just loop it around the 2 front chair legs and loop it around the rear peddler base. ... show more

  • Great price but buy a better one if you can afford it
Color: White
I bought this but returned it. Instead I ended up buying a different one that was 3 to 4 times the price. (This was about $50 and the other was on sale for about $150 - normally about $200). The other one was 3 to 4x the price but seriously it is 10x the quality. This one did not pedal smoothly at all, the tension took many turns to figure out if there was any effect, was lighter and as a result was not as sturdy/stable, was missing a floor grip rubber piece, 2 bolts were never able to tighten, and I had no idea what the strap was for as it is not mentioned in the assembly instructions nor in the photo as far as i could find. In other words this one was a hassle to set up and the slightly jerky motion of pedaling and the lack of the tension knob feeling very responsive made it a bit unmotivating to use. But if money is a make-or-break issue then buy this one - it's certaiy better than just sitting at a desk all day. In contrast though the other peddling machine is sturdy, quiet, smooth, and fit together perfectly. Additionally the other one has arm tension ropes that shockingly do not yank the machine off of the floor as I had envisioned it might. I bought these two versions trying to have a way for my 85 yo mo-in-law to exercise. The pros of this one include: price is great, it is light enough for my 85yo mo-in-law to move out of the way when needed, and it will give you a work out if you like it enough to habitually use it. So my recommendation is if you can afford the better one and are just buying this cheaper version trying not to waste money (this was me), then definitely buy the better one. The quality difference is not a waste. If you can't afford anything else then still go ahead and buy this one. Tip: the strap is used to tether the machine to the chair you're sitting on so it doesn't slip away as you pedal. ... show more
