When the power went out one hot night recently, this blanket kept me cool enough to sleep all night! It’s an odd material that’s hard to describe- silky light but has a weight to it. I now jealously hoard this blanket! A few caveats: one blanket per person works best; blanket touching on naked skin is key; blanket will warm up eventually esp under other covers (because it made me feel too cold!) but you just expose it to air and it will return to its cooling properties (fluff the blanket up and down a bit). ... show more

I'm an old fat autistic guy who has a tough time sleeping if it's too hot out. I've seen these blankets from time to time and always thought that having a blanket on me when it was hot out was an absolutely insane idea... This blanket changed my mind on that!! I'm in western WA USA and it doesn't often get too hot here, but this summer has been off to a roaring start and it got too hard to sleep so I figured I'd give this a shot. I'm so glad I did! I've had nights where it's been hot out without the blanket even with the fans blowing on me, with the blanket though I'm cool and comfortable! I have no clue what kind of witchcraft is involved in doing this but I love it! I've had nights I've had to take the blanket off because I was too cold!!! Like I said, no clue how it works but I know for sure that it does! The extra bonus to me is that on top of it keeping me cool, I love the texture and feel of this blanket! It's soft against my skin and doesn't leave me feeling like my skin is crawling the way some sheets she blankets will. I sleep on a queen sized bed and while this is more then enough of a blanket for me, it's not quite big enough to cover the bed like another blanket would, so if you're planning on using this for two (not sure if that would work to begin with) it might be best to get each of you one. The color, honestly isn't something that I'm really excited about, but it's nice and doesn't look out of place on my bed. I really can't say enough good things about this blanket. I bought this blanket for the hot summer so that I had a good way to cool off from the heat. I didn’t use it for a while because I was using a weighted blanket as a main blanket, and didn’t have space on my bed to use another blanket (my room was a horrible mess). But when it became hot, I started using it more often. It works fairly well, it does stay cool to the touch, but it isn’t perfect. Before I explain my gripes about this blanket, I’ll start with what I really like. The blanket is always cool to the touch, which is very nice and the obvious selling point of this blanket. I’ll drape it over me, and it does help to cool me down a slight bit on hotter days. It covers my whole body (5’11” dude if that is any consolation) and I still have wiggle room for the blanket. The size of the blanket is great, and additionally it’s really thin. I guess it figures since it does need to be cooler than a regular blanket. However, it’s much thinner than I realized it was going to be. As a result, it’s fairly easy to pack away; it can fold really small and takes little space when folded. As much as I have liked this blanket, there are some things that I don’t love about this blanket. Firstly is the coolness, as I have mentioned this blanket does a decent job cooling, but in the daytime this blanket can warm up to body temperature within 5 minutes. It can heat up even more if the temperature is hot, even more so if I am hot from either a run or sleeping. Secondly, it isn’t the easiest thing to fold. Although I mentioned it’s easy to pack away, it is not easy to fold it into a small box. The blanket had two layers stacked onto each other, so sides go anywhere they want to. As a result, it is hard to properly fold both sides in at the same time. Other than that, I really like this blanket. If you get hot easily or if you live somewhere hot in the summers, it’s a great blanket to cool yourself down for a little bit. But anything longer than 5 minutes, and then it’s just a piece of fabric laying on top of you. I still highly recommend it, it’s a great option rather than turning on the ac. ... show more

It's not going to shower you in air conditioned bliss for the entire night, but it genuinely is the lightest and coolest blanket I've tried. I'd say after jumping into bed I get maybe 10 minutes where I'm like "oh dang, this is legitimately cool to the touch." After that it's more of a passive experience that I'd describe more as the blanket being so light that it's not heating you up. I only wish there was an option for a bigger version. I'm constantly rolling over and stuff and this blanket is a bit small, so I almost always need to readjust it. It's probably the perfect size for something like sitting in a chair and reading or playing game boy. ... show more
