Installed this around the front door to increase privacy and block light/heat in our entryway. Easy to install and looks very sleek, modern and professional. I had to put multiple pieces together since there isn’t a roll tall enough for my window panels and I wanted the design’s lines to lay horizontally. I measured so the cuts would fall on the “ribs” of the windows and you can’t even tell it’s pieced together. Let’s in just the right amount of light and hopefully it actually blocks UV rays as advertised. It definitely blocks heat from coming through. It used to get really hot when the sun was right in front of our house before putting this film on. Harder to see through than I expected; improving privacy quite a bit. Very happy with this purchase! Time will tell if it continues to stick with weather variation heating/cooling the glass. I used this on my front door to make the entry window more opaque. It was easy to apply using just a squeegee type device like comes with phone screen protectors. I just squeegied it on and cut around the half-moon shaped edge without trouble. Looks good and holds tight.

I live in Seattle with no AC and we are currently experiencing a heatwave. I have East facing windows and the morning sun turns my apartment into a sauna. My shades don’t do anything and I didn’t want the hassle of blackout curtains so I was looking for something to reflect the sun and keep out the heat. I came across these window clings and they are the perfect solution. My picture shows how much light comes through the shade on the left and on the right is where I installed the blackout film. It wasn’t too hard by myself, and since it’s not adhesive you can peel it off and reposition it as much as you need to get it right. I used a credit card to smooth out the bubbles as I went, if you wait til the end, it’s not as easy. I bought a smaller width than my windows because I needed it ASAP so I had to use 2 pieces and you can’t even tell. They overlap slightly, but still stick to the window. I didn’t cut it to size first, I used the card to get a sharp crease along the window trim and then cut off the excess with a razor blade. It made such a difference, I immediately shared with friends and family. Even with AC, this would save so much energy and help keep your home cool. The best part is I know when I want to let the sun in again, I just peel off the film with no worries about residue sticking to the window. ... show more
