I live on 80 acres. About 1 mile on the property is gravel driveway that previously had not been getting blown. Debris had broken down into dirt over the gravel. The unit is light and easy to put on. Blowing power is good enough that I can push the turbo and blast leaves that are semi-caked in mud out-of the road. After a handful of dry days I can even blow dirt right off of the gravel. The 2.5AH battery doesn't last as long as I need. That said I didn't expect it to. The charger gets me back out there blowing in about 30ish minutes (I haven't timed it but it's not long anyway) which gets me about 15 minutes of blowing (roughly). The release button is quite stiff when removing the battery. That said it's a solid little unit. I keep chipping away at my property. I previously had an EGO hand held blower and loved it but it was stolen and I didn't want to pay $800 for the backpack upgrade. I’m a 60yo DIY female who doesn’t like to wait for someone to pencil me in. This is perfect! I can whip it out, blow what I need and be done. Battery usually lasts long enough to do pack porch, walkway, driveway etc. it’s strong enough to blow dry leaves and mulch.

I have used the blower now on 4 occasions in the past week. The machine is well built and comfortable to wear. Assembly was very straight forward with no issues. It has plenty of blowing power, but what I was surprised to find is that I could do a lot more than I thought using the "trigger lock" switch to select and hold operation at a lower speed. At about 2/3 of the trigger lock switch, I had more than enough to do most of what I wanted, particularly with the ability to post the "turbo" button for those times when you need a little more blowing force. THE BIG DRAWBACK is the battery life. Running mostly at max blowing speed I would struggle to get 18 minutes of run time. This was really disappointing, but I knew that going in and so I also purchased the larger 4.0aH battery. I thought between the two of them, I would be able to do my long driveway which takes about 45 minutes. The 4.0aH battery only has about 3-4 more minutes of run time vs. the 2.5aH battery, and that was REALLY DISAPPOINTING. ... show more

Unit works well, but Battery failed in 9 months and had to be replaced, then trigger failed at 11 months which will require entire unit to be replaced as it is not serviceable, which is not cool as it is a minor product failure. Bummer!

    • Doesn't work as advertised

Misleading advertising, poor customer service and a track record of products that don’t come close to lasting as long in run time or life as their gas powered alternatives. The: “About this item” states “Up to 18 minutes of continued run time on high speed with a fully charged 80V 2.5Ab battery”. I didn’t get nearly the 18 minutes of run time I specifically ordered this item for, but I did get 18 ++++ minutes of on hold time attempting to reach customer service. Upon doing so and providing all purchasing information I asked why I was getting 8 minutes of run time as opposed to the 18 advertised. They replied their product description states “up to 18 minutes”, not 18 minutes. I replied 8 minutes of run time doesn’t qualify for a representation of “up to 18 minutes”. After being placed on hold I was subsequently told the actual run time was closer to 8 minutes if turbo mode is used. Turbo is higher velocity than high velocity. It’s needed, used, and cuts the advertised run time to 8 minutes. As if that isn’t bad enough, the actual run time without using turbo is a measly 11 minutes, not 18. This begs the question: is advertising up to 18 minutes when you get 11 false advertising? Under what actual conditions would 18 minutes be achieved……..zero gravity? For days I attempted to speak to someone at Greenworks remaining on hold numerous times until hanging up over excessive wait times. They lack a call back option and if they do post an email address on their website you would have to be Sherlock Holmes to find it. I was told they do sell a 120 Wh battery that provides 233% more power. When I asked how long would the turbo run time be with this battery upgrade I was told “I don’t have that information”. I explained I had just purchased two complete units based on the advertised run time and ordered two several years ago. The blowers and their batteries didn’t last. I asked given the shorter than advertised run time, and the fact that I purchased again despite past issues and the days I spent trying to reach them, could they can do anything for me on the better battery? The reply was a firm “NO”. After posing the question an alternative way I was again told NO. Based upon my experiences, I can’t recommend this company or its products. I find that unfortunate given their selection and electric powered products. Ironically I had been hyping battery power to a landscaper prior to receiving my new Greenworks blowers and was considering asking the town’s mayor to outlaw gas powered lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers and weed whackers. Instead I’m posting this review and deciding whether to return the blowers I just purchased. ... show more

First I have no idea how some of these reviews were unable to assemble the unit. It literally ONLY requires a Phillip screwdriver for that ONE screw, everything else can be hand tightened and interlocked. Simple. The blower, on normal mode provides plenty of blowing psi. Turbo clearly moves things very well, at the cost of battery runtime. Which brings me to the disappointment of this unit. It comes with a 2.5ah V80 battery. While the size may seem like it can run for days, tis was not so. The package arrived today, it had two maiden run today. Both times lasted only 15min (non-turbo). I was able to clear 80% of my yard after the second pass. Not sure how others’ unit fair, but, in my opinion, this is an utter disgrace. I rage ordered a 4ah v80 battery for the unit. Arriving tomorrow, will update then. UPDATE: I'd ordered the Greenworks 4ah V80 battery on Nov13 supposedly Prime stated I would receive it 2 days later. It's NOV21 today!!!! Evidently the Amazon warehouse is "backed-up" on orders and my battery has not even shipped yet! I'll call amazon again. Looks like I'll need to cancel the order and get a 6ah knockoff battery.
