I use this thing in part of my dab smoking set up. I needed something to dunk Q-tips in rubbing alcohol consistently to clean out the quartz bowl piece. The problem is rubbing alcohol evaporates if you have no lid. This top is easy to take on and off and keeps the rubbing alcohol in there over time. I have noticed some minor loss over time but its incomparable to how quickly it dries up without a lid. That being said, this thing is TINY. It is about half the size of a normal shot glass. Great little bowl/cup. I use it for nail polish remover to dip a brush and clean up around the nail when I polish. It does the trick well. I don’t really need the lid though. It is super small - FYI - if you are looking for mid size this is not the one for you.

I was a bit surprised when this package arrived from Amazon because I couldn't recall ordering anything that small... but apparently I did lol. This dappen dish is TINY. I included a picture of a pocket-sized tube of Blistex towering over it for scale, as well as a pic of the dish in my (very small) hand. Fortunately, the size works for me since I only need it to hold enough acetone to dip a detail brush in to clean up nail polish mistakes. Long ago, I had the very unfortunate idea of pouring some acetone in a Solo cup so I could dip a brush in repeatedly without contaminating my whole bottle of acetone with nail polish... well, the acetone ate through the solo cup-- and the paint of the dresser it was sitting on-- in just a few seconds. Always use glass!! Anyways, this dish will work just fine for that purpose. However, if you're trying to use it with a standard acrylic nail brush (and enough product to actually pick up with that brush) you probably won't be so satisfied with the size. As far as the lid, it's pretty flimsy and loose and the only thing it really does is keep the strong odor of acetone from wafting out of the dish. But it gets the job done for less than $5 so I can't complain. ... show more

Dappen dish is functional but the lid isn’t. The lid fits very tight on top of the dappen dish and the edges are also very sharp on the lid. Bought this one because I wanted the lid to go on top. I will not be buying this product again.

Great dampen dish with cover. Been in the nail industry for 30 years. Why have i not bought this sooner I do not know. Of course reusing liquid on more than one person is a huge no no but this dish with cover allows me to keep the remaining liquid dust free in case I need to touch up a nail after filing. Happens once in a while. Not having to pour more into the dish, possibly over pouring, is saving me money. Also keeps oder's from the air. Best used when I'm doing my own fill. I can cover and leave it for as long as needed. ... show more
