I typically buy Sensationail brand gel polishes since I have the Sensationail starter kit with LED light, however they are much more expensive (about $9 per bottle vs about $1 per bottle, granted these bottles are smaller but I don't mind) and I wanted to try a different brand to save money. PROS - * I got the Pastel Paradise set. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cute packacking and the awesome caddy the polishes come in. All the colors were labeled with a color sticker on top which is very convenient. * The bottles are the same size as the smaller Sensational polishes so I didn't think they were too small, especially for the price. They're barely more than $1 each ... * I got full coverage with 2 coats of color. With Sensationail I always have to do 3 coats. * Because the polish is so thick, it doesn't pull away at the tips of your nails and has a very evenly opaque application. * I was able to get a nice looking mani pedi by following the provided instructions. However, 2 steps I didn't see listed that I always follow are to wipe your nails with a lint free cloth and alcohol to clean them after buffing and shaping them, and then use a gel primer on each nail. So I added these steps. CONS - * The polish is so thick. It feels goopy, kind of like regular polish that is getting dried out. That makes it difficult to apply thin coats and also difficult to apply it neatly without going on your skin. Sensationail polish is much thinner and easier to apply. * The colors in the product description and the color on the top of the bottle do not match the actual color of the polish. As you can see from my photos, my nails are a slightly different color than the bottle. Also the colors in the description seem much brighter than in real life. However they are still very pretty shades. I just used this polish for the first time today so I can't speak to how long it lasts, however it seems very durable so far. Overall I really like this set and would recommend it. You cannot beat the price for so many beautiful colors. ----- UPDATE after 1 week of wear - the polish chipped much more easily than Sensational brand and I only got 1 week of use versus the 2 weeks I expect from a gel polish. I'm going to try again with a set of firmer, smaller tipped nail art brushes I bought for this purpose. I think the problem was the large brushes that come with these bottles do not allow you to get the corners and tips of the nails well enough & also don't allow you to apply a thin coat. I think this will be much more successful and will update again if I have any issues. ... show more

***UPDATE*** So i forgot to come update. It's only been two years! LOL I still really love these gel polishes! I have even purchased more since I left my original review. I've even gotten rid of my old brands that i was using. They wear and last so well! I will definitely keep using this brand for as long as they make it! And a tip for those of you who might be having problems... your nail bed prep is literally the most important step! Go watch a YouTube video if you don't know how. If you're struggling with application or how long it lasts on your nails I guarantee it's not the polish! It's probably your prep technique or you're not using the right amount of polish. AGAIN...PREP YOUR NAIL BEDS PROPERLY, then do thin layers. You can do multiple layers if you need to! ❤️ I have been a nail tech for ten years now and decided to try something different after finally getting tired of fighting with my old "professional" brand. I purchased this product with my own money and am not being compensated in any way for my review. That being said I am seriously impressed with the beetles line of gel polishes! I purchased several of their different sets this last week and have been extremely happy with everything I have tried so far. Everything came in pristine condition, safely packed in a beautiful box with detailed instructions on how to use the product as well as troubleshooting tips. There is a nice variety here between cream, glitter and jelly options and the wide variety of colors. All of the polishes applied like a dream. I put two coats of color on all of the swatches but there were a couple of the cream pastels that I could have gotten away with only one coat. Even the chunky glitters went on smoothly and required minimal fuss to get the glitters even. This set also comes with a base coat, glossy top coat and a matte top coat all of which were top notch products as well! The base coat seems to do its job and the gloss top coat went on smoothly, leveled itself out well and is nice and shiny. The real star of the show for me was the matte top coat! This is the first one I found that goes on and cures with no streaking! If you're on the fence or confused about the many options of gel polishes available here on Amazon, just stop looking and buy this one! You won't be disappointed! I will update my review with how well the polish wears and how long it lasts after I have done a set of nails with them. ... show more

I have always loved doing my own manicures, and getting a gel polish set made me love nail art even more. The colors in this set are amazing, vibrant, and I appreciate the range that it offers. The lamp that is included is fine, it's lasted me for a few years, however I recommend purchasing a nicer one eventually. I also recommend purchasing another brand of top and base coat. The Beetles brand is good, but I find that it peels a lot quicker than some other brands.
