This was my first time doing polygel. This kit came with everything I needed and more (I do suggest purchasing an electric nail drill to save time). I put the polygel on my natural nails the first time, it was pretty easy to get the hang of. I learned a few things along the way, like don’t get too close to your cuticles and don’t miss the base coat. I used a thin layer to see how it would hold up. It lasted about two weeks and then two nails broke (I will say I’m rough with my nails, always washing dishes or washing hands or cleaning). I tried the nail form and the sticky form, both turned out ok. It’s a lot more work if you use these to make your nails longer, it takes practice. After the first time, I suggest doing a fill. It took me 30 mins to do one hand. I did all the steps for the part near the cuticle that had grown out. I sanded off the top coat and applied a fresh new top coat over the whole nail, looks like new! Great starter kit. One thing I’ve noticed is the top coat will sometimes have holes in it on the nail, it doesn’t go on smooth. I’m not sure why that happens. ... show more

This was super easy to learn as a beginner. I didn't have any major issues. It comes with everything you need. I recommend watching a YouTube video on the kit when starting out. I personally wouldn't buy it again but that is because I have all the important stuff like the lamp already.

    • Good Brand, Hard Kit to Work with
I wanted to love this kit, but on its own it's just not enough to be successful. The polygel is thick in the container but once you put it on a form or nail it's a very sticky it's very runny even when it's cold and it runs all over the nail. I've purchase more Morovan product and then went to a different product and I really just had to work really fast do like one nail at a time, mix products, had to buy a different nail lamp, and all in all, and because I'm I'm still fairly new to all of this, it takes me an extremely long time to do my nails. But the products just alone aren't enough. The colors are okay. I wish this kit had a little bit more variety. I do think the brand is fine and I still use most of the base items. I do use the extras that come with it but I had to put together this kit and several other purchases of supplies to make this kit really what I needed to be to be able to effectively do my nails and make them last as a beginner. The lamp doesn't really work at all. The polygel in these tubes will last you a really long time but the slip solution. The nail primer and the dehydrator will also last a little while and I still use that those and have purchased more because I found them to be the best of the ones I've used. The gym glue container doesn't close well so it might spill out into your kit and it's a very sticky and very very hard to clean. The nail tape in the different colors doesn't stick really well even after you've cured it under a lamp and peels off within a matter of days but all in all the kids not bad it's like I said just really a start for making a better kit and it has some things that you need but not all and not in great amounts so for a brand new beginner I could see this being the first part of of beginner kit. ... show more

This kit is amazing! I got the big kit with the more powerful uv lamp, and I waited 3 weeks with this set to write a review so it can be accurate. I've gotta say it's great for the money, but it's not as beginner friendly as people say. You MUST clean all the dead skins off your nail bed and properly dehydrate, prime, then apply base coat before starting or you won't have the month long lasting adhesion like I got. If you've never done it before, I recommend not priming or prepping the nail so you can get a practice run to understand how the material flows, because if you prep, and create an ugly set on your first try, poly gel does not just come off lol. You have to file it off for a LONGGGG time, and you can't just soak it off, which is great for long lasting nails, but a pain when you want to remove it. But yeah, you should also not place the polygel bead directly on your nail and then squish it down if you have short stubby natural nails. The reason is because it will stick to your skin and you can't shape it with the brush when your nails don't extend past your fingertip. Anyways hope these tips help. This is totally worth the money and I can definitely create a set for every month of the year for the $27 I spent. So I am really happy with it and think its definitely worth learning. ... show more
