Purchased light strip as a bundle with Goover power supply (PWR-G12V-080-66-U-D-J). The light is controlled by a Lutron dimmer switch (DVCL-153PR) purchased at Home Depot. Wiring was done exactly as described for TRIAC dimming in the user guide for the power supply. The light will be placed within an aluminum channel for LED strip lights near the ceiling (to highlight a slat wall). At the time of purchase, I was uncertain on the compatibility of the power supply and dimmer switch. Compatibility was confirmed later by Goover's customer service, and I confirmed compatibility after installation. I'm able to dim the lights over a wide range without flicker. I'm very pleased by the brightness and color of the light and that I can dim them over a wide range. Goover's customer service and technical support was outstanding. I contacted Goover via email (service@gooverlight.com) as I had an issue with getting the lights to work. They were very responsive to my emails and were committed to solving the problem and replacing any defective component. The initial problem stemmed from a wire coming out of the power supply (V-) that broke off and disconnected from the low voltage wire/LED strip light (I probably damaged the wire while stripping). This was revealed only after taking off all wire nuts. I greatly appreciated their technical support staff helping me with troubleshooting! ... show more

My favorite part about these LEDs is that they look more like a glow strip rather than individually placed LEDs on a wire strip. They were super easy to install and have a TouchPad sensor with a sticky backing so you can adhere it to an easy to reach spot to turn the LEDs off/on. Also, holding your hand on the TouchPad will dim/brighten the LEDs. Yes you can add an extension to these, but I did not.     • Reasonably decent LED strip lighting kit

I've installed a bunch of LED strip lighting using a variety of strip lights, drivers, dimmers, etc. so I was interested to see how this all-in-one, everything-provided kit stacked up. Overall I would say that this kit is good for someone that is looking for a one-stop, no fuss solution. This kit does come with everything that you would need to get up and going. It (obviously) has the strip lighting. It also has the LED driver/power supply (I always see people order strip lighting without realizing that they need a driver/power supply and then they're disappointed that they can't do anything with just the strip light) and a small remote control module and corresponding remote. It also comes with a couple clips to help hold the power supply line in place as well as a single connector wire if you want to cut the strip light and reconnect it to go around a corner. Just plug the strip light into the remote control module, plug the remote control module into the LED driver and you're done (though you really should also cap the bare end wires that are attached to the other end of the strip light so that you don't risk having a short circuit). I also like that this COB LED strip light is made from a single, continuous strip. Some strip lights are a bunch of shorter strips soldered together to make one long strip, which I think adds potential points of failure, as well as makes it harder to cut the strips to length, if the location where you want the cut happens to be where they soldered a splice joint. That said, the remote control on this kit leaves a lot to be desired. It's fine for a teenager's room, but it feels cheap in hand. And, while in theory you can dim this from 0-100%, 5 clicks of the "dim" button get you from full brightness to the dimmest setting, so you don't have a lot of control over lighting levels. To get that you really have to switch to a dimmable driver and a compatible dimmer like the Lutron Diva DVCL-153P. That's what I will ultimately do, since it's a much better setup. All in all, at the price point that this is being offered at (with the current coupon), I think that this a good value for someone who doesn't want to mess around with getting different components and building the system on their own. ... show more

The soft white 4000K temperature looks great. It has a soft tone that is not too yellow or too blue. This temperature works great for those who don’t like warm light while also not wanting to make the space look cheap with 6500K temperature. I find that the light strip buzzes when I use the remote. The light buzzes briefly when I press the button. At least the light doesn't buzz when it's on normally. Since I'm using it as on/off only light that is connected to the main power switch, this is not a problem for me. There's also no flickering at 100% brightness so it will not ruin your shot when taking a photo with your mobile devices or over video calls. ... show more

Mounted this to the inside of the door jamb of a small closet. It's only been a week, but so far, the adhesive looks like its holding up well. I had to cut the strip into 3 segments in order to line the sides and top. This kit only came with one 6" double ended connector, so I ended up soldering wires to join the segments. Note that the contact spacing is different for this new COB type and older strips with exposed LEDs. The contacts on the COB strips are slightly farther apart since it has a wider lighting element in the middle, so if you want to use connectors, you'll need ones specifically made for COB strips. I really do like the more uniform look of the COB strips. I have the 3000K and the color seems to be reasonably believable, as well. Other than that, not sure why they soldered wires to very end of the strip, but there is about 6" of red and black wires with striped and tinned ends if you need.
