This camera was great for 2 weeks, then the microphone stopped working and now there's nothing but garbled sound and static. So I ordered a replacement. 2nd one came with mic issues. Not as staticky as the original ended up, but not nearly as nice as the original was when I first used it. The second one also has malfunctioning motion detection. Very sporadic and missing a lot - which I know because food disappears between long gaps in pictures/videos. Just opened the box and discovered " Requires a standard size SDHC ... ". So out of the box the camera will not work. I could not find in the Amazon listing a reference to this requirement. After receiving and installing the SD card, I am very pleased with the camera. It was easy to install and pair with the iPad. Set up was simple, and the optional battery pack is giving long life. Picture quality is very good and connecting to the iPad is simple. Overall we are pleased. Would be 5 stars if it shipped with a SD card so it was operational out of the box. ... show more

This is a very good quality camera! I love that I can use the app to check the videos instead of having to remove the memory card from the camera and inserting it into the computer. I had a minor issue with the camera a few months after I bought it, but I contacted the company's customer service and they were VERY quick to respond and very helpful! Setting time and date. I have partially successfully set up the date and the time. I was successful in setting up the time zone, the month, the day, the year, hours and minutes. My device will NOT enable me to select AM or PM (using 12-hour setting). I have attempted this several times to select the AM and PM and the device will not let me change this. This includes after I've removed, charged and then replaced the battery. Time and date set up does not hold or remain consistently. The time and date does not consistently hold from my setting from use to use (Daily). When I remove the device from photo and video service – to look at and view the videos and pictures, the year reverts to factory setting of 2022 versus the 2024 year set by me. This happens without any intervention from me. Sometimes the time also changes also between photos/video events. ... show more

The Camera worked well enough, but after 4 months it destroyed the SD card and then wouldn't recognize any SD card. So, I have to give the camera a zero rating and a don't buy recommendation.

First, the picture quality is great, and so is the motion detection. Easy setup. Now for the bad part, at least in my opinion. Although Wi-Fi enabled, don't expect the device to connect to your home SSID. It's point-to-point Wi-Fi between the iPhone and the camera. You need to be within 10-15 feet to join the network and use the camera. It uses Bluetooth to locate the camera, then you join via Wi-Wi. The app is OK, but it doesn't support dynamic magnification (magnifying the picture with your fingers), and the download speed is slow if you want to copy the video to your phone. On both my Arlo and Google Nest cameras, they do join my home SSID, and I can also view what's stored on the camera with my web browser. Not on this device. I would say, with a few improvements, this could be at the top of its class. ... show more
