This is an initial review. The scope arrived quickly from Amazon. Hopefully this will answer some of the concerns for you that I had before I purchased. Everything was packaged well, there was no damage. The firmware version in the scope was higher than the one offered on the website, check before updating. Be sure to perform a long format on your SD card before using, this is just a good habit. I comes complete with the 3 mounts, IR emitter w/batteries, sunshade and eyecup, USB cable, neoprene scope cover and the wrenches you need. It is truly a complete package. The battery was at 30% it took a while to charge because my charger was only 1 amp. Get a 2 amp as recommended you will be happier. The only issue I had was with the compass, it was stuck on north. I called tech support and they answered right away. I was instructed to rotate the scope on the 3 axis's 13 times each and it my take a few attempts. the problem was corrected right away. It is mounted on an air rifle. The clarity in day mode is excellent. Night mode is a little (very little) grainy but clear enough to shoot consistent 10X"s. The IR emitters is good, be sure to follow the instructions on focus and aligning. I can see an upgrade in the future. The one shot zero is fantastic, exactly as advertised. The WIFI though the iPhone and the app is great. I have still yet to get through the features as it will take a while. Keep in mind that this is far different from your standard glass scope. You should look at some videos to see if its right for you. It is a bit pricey but the value is there, the unit is well made and full of features a glass scope will never have.     • Definitely has been a surprise, in a good way.

Has worked great. Clarity/brightness in low light is excellent, it is a digital zoom some pixelation at full zoom was expected. Pay attention to instructions and will sight in quickly. Also be sure to *play* with the menus to get used to the buttons for rapid use (mainly the recoil activated video). I have the handheld range finder and linked up and functions perfectly. You can extend your zoom function (understand pixelation gets worse) but, it is a nice little bonus to hit x51. The IR illumination that comes with it is very usable out to 200 yards. Keep in mind that objects like brush/tree limbs/leaves etc in direct view will reflect and cause the scope to wash out at distance when using the illuminator. Be sure to know and understand your local laws on what times your allowed to shoot game, general rule is 30 minutes after/before sunrise. Even with the illuminator off, the clarity in these times has shown to be excellent. Have used it on a Winchester XPR in 6.5 creedmoor (using Hornady Precision Hunter 143 grain ELD-X), Ruger .17 HMR Precision (V-Max 20 grain) & Mossberg Patriot .308, Hornady Superperformance SST, 150 grain. So far it has worked very well. (Will try on a Winchester Model 70, 270 wsm also). Keep in mind older rails will not work with the rings that come with this scope, the grooves are not as wide and it will not fit properly. Uses a 30mm ring FYI. The scope is heavier than a normal scope especially when leaving the illuminator attached, I dont recommend leaving it attached, can be heavy to hold for accurate shooting at distances. (But does make for fun looking across fields when it is dark) I sighted in at 20 yards, first shot was at 203 yards and took the heart out, using the 6.5 XPR, absolutely worked flawlessly. I do recommend testing your shots after sight in, as with any scope, it just makes good sense. Did this with mine, just makes sure it is working properly. Double check your FPS with chronograph if at all possible, this can greatly change your point of impact at distances. The number on the box usually will not be what your particular gun will actually achieve. Be responsible and test it at the range, I can't stress that enough (on my XPR 6.5, is shoots an average of 150 fps less than advertised), so testing at range will show up as low point of impacts at farther distances. Change your FPS accordingly if you dont have a chronograph. It isn't the scope, it is the data you feed it. If at all possible, use a G7 rating for BC, it is generally more accurate for the type of bullets I use. Check yours and use what best fits your bullet type. This isn't a magic wand, but with a little time and testing, it will and does give you the ability to put a bullet on target accurately at distances. If time and memory allows, I will update this review after more use in the field. Overall it has been a pleasant surprise and have enjoyed having the ability take snap shots and video, I am very happy with the purchase so far. ... show more
