Description

Soil cultivation is key for a healthy lawn or garden as it helps the ground breathe, absorb water, and hold seed better. The Garden Weasel 2-in-1 Rotary Cultivator enables you to aerate and prepare large or small areas for planting, reseeding grass, or preventing weed growth. Simply roll this rotary cultivator back and forth to quickly create an even 1.5” depth of loosened soil. With 3 interchangeable rotary blade wheels, each with six Aluminiron™ alloy serrated tines, this soil tiller tool easily breaks apart soil while simultaneously cleaning itself with every turn. It combines the tasks of a hoe and spade in one, and the cultivated area is ready to capture and hold moisture, promoting growth for your new seeds. With the handle fully extended, the total length of the tool is 54.5 inches, so you can cultivate without bending or stooping - minimizing bodily strain, enhancing efficiency, and speeding up the process. In tighter spaces like narrow rows or between plants, the tool transforms into a dual or single rotor cultivator. For even more versatility, remove the handle extension and operate it with a shorter handle and a single rotary blade wheel; the Garden Weasel 2-in-1 Rotor Cultivator can be optimized to your requirements. The handle of the Garden Weasel 2-in-1 Rotary Cultivator is manufactured using lightweight yet durable carbon steel that has been powder coated for corrosion resistance, and features a textured TPR rubberized grip for all-day comfort. The bright “Weasel Red” color makes this tool easy to spot in the yard or garden. A steel hang hook allows for convenient storage in your tool shed or garage.Like all of Garden Weasel's tenacious tools, this professional-grade 2-in-1 rotary cultivator comes with our no-hassle LIFETIME GUARANTEE. That's right – we've always got your back. What are you waiting for? It’s time to take your garden cultivation to another level with the Garden Weasel 2-in-1 Rotary Cultivator. • Great aeration tool
Style: Long Handle
After many years of using a metal rake to scratch the ground surface, I decided to purchase the Garden Weasel. From the first few strokes I was greatly impressed. It ate through the hardened soil where my dogs urinate and the ground became hard and devoid of grass. It performed beautifully under some trees where grass is hard to grow and some roots popped up. It softly buried grass seed as easily as 1-2-3. The handle is long enough (could be slightly longer but it’s fine). The tongs seem to be well made, (they are easily adjustable as you can use 1 - 2 or all 3 blades at any time to fit whatever area you’re working in). Has a slight angle pitch to save your back while rowing this back and forth. This is a drastic improvement to using a rake and cost effective to not buy a rotor tiller (unless you have a huge area to till). It still requires some effort, but the results are amazing as your packed down soil becomes loosened and gets you ready to plant seeds or whatever you want. Highly recommend ... show more

  • Great for horse stall
Style: Long Handle
I used this in my horse’s outdoor stall for the first time today. It rained last night so it was muddy. It did exactly what I was hoping for - broke up all the big chunks of mud and dirt clods really nicely. I have arthritis in my hands, wrists and elbows and it made the job so much easier and less painful for me (and took a lot less time) than pounding on the mud with a landscape rake. I should have taken a before picture because it was muddy and pitted with potholes before, but here is the after photo. ... show more

  • Effective for getting lawns ready for seed
Style: Long Handle
Over the winter (this last winter was real rough), I lot of my grass died and didn't come back. My yard had many bare, dirt patches and was starting to get overrun by dandelions. I used this tool to soften up the very solid soil to prepare to lay seed. Pros: Effective for loosening up soil Cons: Hard, manual labor to loosen up the soil I am a pretty small human (5'7" 115lb) so it was tough for me to work this through the hardened soil. Ultimately, it was effective and my little seedlings are growing but it is not easy. ... show more

  • Same Great Quality
Style: Long Handle + Short Handle
I own one when they first came out but lost it. I purchased this one expecting it to be value engineered but was pleasantly surprised that it is very near the original design and quality. These are perfect for reseeding and spot repairs on lawns. It is a great manual cultivator.

  • Only works on soft broken up soil
Style: Long Handle
I was looking forward to using this tool to prepare seed beds in my garden, but was disappointed in its construction and performance. It has a stout metal handle, but the head is plastic and the tines look like they are pot-metal. I doubt very seriously that it would hold up to extended use. Also, it did not work well in anything but soft already broken up soil. It did not penetrate very deeply and the tines got clogged with organic material to the degree that I had to frequently stop and clean them out. To judge it fairly, I tried it in several areas of my garden - and then used a regular four-tine cultivator in the same areas - and the four-tined cultivator worked better. The garden weasel may work in certain applications, but my advice is to save your money. Fortunately, Amazon made returning it easy. ... show more

  • Light weight & It works!
Style: Long Handle + Short Handle
Flower beds, vegetable gardens or what ever you grow. This tool is so good at keeping the weeds from your rows and taking all the nutrients from the soil that you want your produce to have. Easy to use and easy to clean.

  • Better than I remember
Style: Long Handle
Easy to assemble and also easy to take apart. Easy to remove the spikes of my choice. I can take out the middle, or either side, or the middle and either side. I must work from a wheel chair and these steps are easy. Do not buy this in order to remove tall weeds or thick grass. If your ground is summer-hard, water it well and let it rest overnight. It also performs well in water or mud if needed. I can't think of any deficiencies but I do advise reading the description several times to see if your expectations are too high. This is not meant to clear an acre of ground in one hour. This is a little bit heavier than I remember, but more effective. However, I am 80 years old now and a lot weaker than what I once was.. This product is definitely worth more than the asking price. ... show more

  • Ground must be soft
Style: Long Handle
It works well as long as you keep the ground soft. It’s not heavy duty enough for a drier or hard ground
