This guitar was a perfect gift for my 14 1/2 yr old grandson for Xmas. The smile never left his face all day as he carried it around for the rest of the day and into the evening. My daughter-in-law told me 2 days later that he learned 2 songs already and it hasn't left his side. I am so glad that gift was a huge hit. It came with an amp, a vinyl case, picks and extra cords in case one breaks. the price was great for what you got. the guitar was a pretty blue on the body of the guitar. Definitely a great guitar, did have some glue residue is a little sticky on the neck. There is definitely some adjustments to be done in the making of the guitar but overall it’s a very good beginner guitar for those wanting to play electric guitar. The cord and shoulder strap could be better and the amp could be updated over all accessories are okay did have to get a better card and maybe have to get a diff amp otherwise the amp sound is ok but it would easily get damaged or broken due to sound so be careful ya’ll!! Love the guitar just needs some fine tuning, and accessories as well!! ... show more

I bought this set almost a year ago for my then 10 year old son who was interested in learning to play the guitar. Granted, he's used it as often as I expected him too (not much), but I'm still very happy with my purchase (maybe I'll start playing again 😉). I had researched multiple sites online to find the perfect starter guitar for my son...one that was within my price range, was of good quality, and was NOT a toy guitar (never realized that would be an issue, but you'd be surprised). After my research from various websites, I had it narrowed down to 3 options. So I had my uncle, who used to play bass guitar in a local band, look at my choices. This was the one he picked, and the one I ultimately bought. This guitar is beautiful, and is a very good quality guitar. It's a full-sized guitar too, a guitar an adult could play as well (beware the smaller child-sized guitars that are marketed...do your research, if your child is a certain size there is no reason NOT to buy a full -sized guitar). And this particular purchase came with the works!! Everything your budding guitarist might need to get started, which includes an amp, extra strings (that we haven't needed yet) and a couple picks. Granted the set comes with additional pieces that aren't too helpful, like the guitar case which, frankly, is only good for keeping dust off, and another item (can't think of what it's called) that my uncle said should only be used with more experienced users. The amp is great, for our purposes. My uncle had said that it's a perfect starter amp, and my opinion is that it is loud enough lol and it does it's job. This amp may not be the best, but it gives a starter guitarist a good view of how an amp can change how notes sound when they're played. Again, very happy with this purchase. I feel it's a perfect all-inclusive starter introduction to the electric guitar, whether you're a child or an adult. And you can't beat the quality and quantity for the price!! And I'll end this review with a statement my uncle had made....you just need something to get started, and it doesn't have to cost a lot. And then, when the interest in playing guitar improves, if it does, then you can buy something better. And if the interest isn't there, well, then you didn't waste a lot of money on it. ... show more

So this is my story, bought it and showed up a week later. Out of the box fretboard was so dry, intonation was off, neck bowed, amp came with a short circut, and the jack didn't want to stay in. So i talked with zeny, sent emails with pics and videos, got refunded. Their was a no return so i was able to keep it. With getting my money back wanted to see if i could get it working, took it to a local guitar tech, i put 3 coats of oil on the fretboard, we re-routed the input (a huge portion wasn't routed out) fixing the jack issue. Tech Leveled all the frets which were very off while i shielded the body. After that we went through and did a re-soldering job on all the tones, volume, pickups and input. The pickup selector seemed fine. We added new string trees and re-stringed it with ernie slinkys string. Of course we had to adjust the neck to straighten it, but after re-stringed, tech set up intonation towards a med-low action hight. If you put it through a good amp you can get it sounding good. The amp this came with is gargabe. Basically everything that this comes with is not good, the strings are very strange to me. After new strings $6, new string trees $10, copper tape for shielding $10, then $50 for the fret leveling and re-soldering. So that was as much i was willing to spend at the time before any pickup upgrades. Roughly $80 to setup, now it plays pretty good, not a super great guitar, but with a lot of time and work it can sound good and play smooth. Out of the box though this product is not worth the hassle unless you want a project type guitar. ... show more

The amp is very simple and can easily be re-wired to run on a 12 volt car plug if necessary. The guitar itself is very high quality for the price. I'm happy i didnt go with a more expensive one. Going to use it to play in church to glorify God.
