Description

Honoring the electrifying "Voodoo Chile" Who popularized the Stratocaster guitar and its tremendous sonic flexibility, The Jim Hendrix Stratocaster gives you the same fiery tone and playing feel to wield as your own. Full of incendiary vintage tone and classic style, this extraordinary instrument features signature touches and unique appointments based on his distinctive "flipped-over" Guitars. The foundation of Hendrix's uniquely personal sound and playing style was his habit of flipping his guitars over and restringing them to accommodate his left-handed playing, resulting in a "reverse" Headstock and bridge pickup- features reproduced here in exacting detail. The "reverse" Headstock produces a longer string length for the bass strings, creating a tighter playing feel along with easier bending and vibrato on the treble strings. A trio of unsurpassed American vintage '65 single-coil pickups includes a reverse-slant bridge pickup, producing uniquely inspiring tone with tight, warm sound and enhanced upper harmonics and definition. The highly versatile 9. 5Radius "C-shaped maple neck with medium jumbo frets offers a flatter playing surface-ideal for chording while simultaneously allowing you to bend notes to the Stratosphere without fear of fretting out during scorching solos. Commemorating Hendrix's unrivaled legacy, the large '70s-style headstock bears the guitarist's signature on the rear. A unique neck plate displays a shoulders-up silhouette of the man himself and the engraved inscription, "authentic Hendrix, " leaving no doubt as to the inspiration behind this guitar. Available in classic Olympic White or black, both with chrome hardware and including a gig bag, The Jim Hendrix Stratocaster is your chance to unleash your own "electric sky church" Music.

  • A really nice affordable guitar that plays and sounds great and looks fantastic!
Color: Olympic White
This guitar sound great! it plays really well (after adjusting it to my like) it is a solid feeling and easy to play insturment. Now Some people will complain that it is not 'exactly' a replication of Jimi's guitar and that's correct. In my opinon it takes the best of both worlds and successfully melds them together. The reverse headstock which results in teh string lengths being the same as Jimi's probably makes the big differenct. Teh revers slant on the bridge pickup (compared to a normal right handed strat) makes a diffrence as well. Of course the Vintage 65 pickups probaably makes the biggest difference. It plays nice, sounds great, looks really cool and it has Jimi's signature on it as well as the authentic hendrix logo (on the neck plate). Will it make you sound like Jimi? Probably not, will it help you sound great, most likely. As an observation: I think this is the way the Headstock should have always been, it just seems better. ... show more

  • Awesome guitar with incredible tone
Color: Olympic White
Awesome guitar with incredible tone! The pickups are out of this world, great sensitivity, punch, vintage sound, but not too much as lace sensors. Besides pure hendrix (it does match hendrix tone), I nailed Keith Richards tone in 5 minutes. The guitar is also good for funky rithms too. This is my 4th strat and sounds way better than my 2 american standards 2016 and 1997 flat pole PUs. The only sad thing is I wont be playing my other 3 strats for quite a while. ... show more

  • Piece of junk
Color: Olympic White
Input jack not soldered, bridge pick up not wired correctly, not even connected to selector switch. Fret work is terrible, $1,000 on this piece of junk. Save your money there in nothing of quality in this guitar. Shame on you for even associating it with Jimi Hendrix

  • Amazing Player and Tone after Setup
Color: Olympic White
Great player and build quality. Pickups are of vintage output and sound great! There is some magic to the reverse headstock, hard to put my finger on it, better sustain on the low end perhaps. Only gripe was the "all over the place" setup, or lack of any setup. Find it hard to believe Fender shipped this guitar. Pickup height all over the place, saddle height no where near 9.5", neck had enough back bow that strings where laying on the fretboard. Basically it needed, a setup, which can be expected, but this one felt like it wasn't inspected at all after assembly. A setup was easy enough, just a bit disappointing in Fender for this one. Others have come in nearly perfect, needing only minor tweaks to my taste. ... show more

  • Everything I hoped for
Color: Olympic White
This guitar arrived in great shape. It was well packed and came in a really nice gig bag which helped protect it. It seems to be well set up too. I expect it'll sound great when I learn to play it.
