I just got this today and was anxious to assemble and install it. It was easy to install. I like the height. The five spikes seem to hold it sturdy. Works just as I had hoped.

Took out and assembled everything was fine and looked to be a quality product. Put the spiked base in the ground and when screwing on the top not sure if it crossthreaded or what but the metal is so cheap, thin or soft totally flattened out the treads. All comes down to you get what you pay for i reckon. Now maybe its just me because others are happy with it but based on this experience I would not recommend. ... show more

Even though the description says this hose holder is rust-proof, it is clearly not the case. After only a couple of weeks with fairly normal amounts of summer rain and thunderstorms, rust started appearing at multiple joints and around the screws, as the attached picture demonstrates.
