I do like this product, but be careful with your timing. I have very porous colored hair. The first time I used it I left it on for 5 minutes. It turned out bright pink. Now I only wash it for about a minute & it comes out a subtle pretty pinky peachy tone that i always receive compliments on.

The product works great! I have natural black hair and bleached it once to make it vibrant red. I wash my hair daily, so the color faded pretty quick. I don’t want to go to hair salon again, so I randomly searched it on amazon to find this. I decided to give a try, and after several weeks, I found it very convenient to remain my hair color in a fairly bright red hue evenly. The color remains for 2~3 wash. However, I’m not giving it five stars because: Instead of using it like my normal shampoo, I need to squeeze 3 palms of the product to apply on my hair to reach the color change shown in my photos. I tried using a small amount and imagined the product staying on my hair longer would let the color soak in, but it didn’t work much. If you have long hair, you probably will run out of this very fast. It also dries my hair after rinsing it off, but could be solved with conditioner once. Anyway if you plan to use this, I recommend to apply a generous amount of it on your hair, and massage it through hair to have the even color, but not making a lot of foams. After waiting for a few mins, rinse it off and use conditioner once or twice under warm water since a steaming hot shower washes the new applied color off easily. ... show more

i got my hair bleached and dyed (at a salon) in early march of this year. since then, i’ve been using this product 1-2 times a week. it’s lasted over two months which is great, and it does an amazing job keeping the color vibrant. ive read some other reviews saying their hair came out bleak and streaky- i think that’s cause people didn’t use enough product. you have to use a LOT and make sure you’re not only focusing it on the scalp or ends of your hair, you have to be mindful of the fact that you’re basically dying your hair. i also would leave it on upward of ten minutes if i wanted a very bright color. i’ve dyed it twice with arctic fox electric pink hair dye between now and when i first had it done. the fact that i’ve only done it twice in the last three months & it’s stayed a beautiful color, without damaging the hair is crazy. i can’t give this product enough of a great rating for the vibrancy of color :). ... so to sum it up, - it is definitely worth the $30!! - make sure you’re using a good amount of product - put it on evenly - let it sit for a heavy five minutes - ~1x a month or as needed, touching up with an actual dye has helped i also want to mention, i wash my hair once a week with this shampoo and once a week with another drugstore shampoo. i also use a conditioner everyday that’s supposed to “lock in” color best of luck to anyone who uses this product! i really recommend :) ... show more

I usually don't write a review but I feel like I should as some people may have been in the situation I was. I had bleached my hair to a really light blonde and then dyed it blue. The blue had began to fade and green undertones were starting to show which I was alright with at first since it was light. But overtime, it did begin to stand out to me. I did some research and it said using pink/red tones will help get out green undertones. I read about several shampoos/conditioners that were red but none of them really spoke about green undertones. Thus I decided to just go and take the risk with this shampoo. I was hesitant when I decided to finally use it but when I did, to my surprise, all the green undertones were gone and leaving me with silver/gray hair (my hair was a blue silver) I was so impressed that I decided to write a review. I will say that make sure to read the instructions on how to apply because at first, I didn't and left my hair with red streaks. My hair did have red but nothing regular shampoo couldn't get out since I wasn't going for a red. Hopefully this review helps anyone who wants to get green hair out :D ... show more

This stuff really did a good job of depositing color into my highlights. I first put it in dry hair and left it in for an hour. All my previously lightened strands turned a rosy/peachy color. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because after washing once with color protecting shampoo, the pink tone faded out and it looked more like copper. I have partial highlights and all over color on dark hair. I use this to maintain the color. It does a nice job adding in a lovely deep rose color. It does not mask gray hair at all. I try to leave it in for a few minutes while showering—it seems to deepen the color deposit. I couple this shampoo with Moroccan Oil Rose Gold Hair Mask 2/week and also use Ion semi-permanent Raspberry every other week to keep my color. I recommend this shampoo as part of a routine for coloring, at least with darker hair. ... show more

Review for Rose Gold. First pic is the AFTER. I used this product once, the morning before I went for my first Covid cut! Second pic is my BEFORE, natural colour. A dark golden blonde. I applied the toning shampoo on dry hair and left it on for about 25 minutes. Hopped in shower, lathered , let that sit for 3 minutes then rinsed. It did feel a little drier than my wet hair after my usual gentle shampoo. I conditioned my usual way. When it air dried my hair was soft again. The texture of the shampoo was easy to work with. Not runny and not gloopy. Smelled ok. Didn't stain my very fair skin or my towels or pillowcase. My hair is a warm 6.5.
