With some highlights added to my hair, my stylist recommended a purple shampoo to minimize brassiness over time. Of course the salon sells product, but he said some of his clients have used the L'Oreal product and had good results. So, upon that recommendation, I've used this twice now - and so far so good. I'd be hesitant to let the purple soak in too much or for too long, not for more than a minute. It is very intense purple and could easily leave your hair with a purplish/bluish tinge. The shampoo & conditioner smell nice and it does condition my bleached hair well. I would only say that it's not the best purple shampoo/conditioner on the market, but it is a good one especially for the low price. If you got a tight budget for these products, I'd recommend for sure. If you have a few extra dollars to spend, I recommend other brands that better tone when shampooing and conditioning. ... show more

This was great for when a water softener quit and needed replacement. Once a month or so helps keep the hair looking nice. It can be used after bleaching hair to get the brassiness out. Works well. I decided to let my hair go grey and tried this purple shampoo to take the brassiness out of it. I use it a few times, but I feel like it made my hair darker gray. It also gave my scalp a hint of purple, which is not really what I was going for.

This shampoo and conditioner seem to be working well for me. My hair isn’t totally gray, but what I have seemed to look brassy. This has helped tone that down significantly.
