I've been questioning whether I need a Dyson hair dryer or a styler for a long time. But personally, I rarely curl my curls on special occasions, and I dry my hair every other day. In the end I decided that Dyson hair dryer is more suitable for me as it is more powerful, more convenient for frequent drying of hair. But sometimes you also want to put your signature curls on... so I saw this option, it's perfect for me! I bought only the adapter!!! I have an original Dyson 1.2 curling attachment. And they fit together perfectly. Yes, the magnet on the adapter is a little weaker than the original attachments on the Supersonic. But during the whole process of styling my hair, the hair dryer attachment never once fell off, just a little wobbly at times. I can't compare styling hair this way with styling hair on a Dyson styler (I haven't tried it), but the curl is very cool. The main thing is to choose the right styling products! So if you have a Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and don't want to spend another $600 on a styler, I suggest buying this adapter and searching online for the original Dyson Styler 1.2 attachment. It’s does work however it OVERHEATED my Dyson supersonic. I thought it killed my dryer but hours later (after it had been unplugged and unused), I went to check on it and it worked again. FYI, the dryer is 3 years old and has never had this issue or overheated until I used this attachment. I’m sooooooooo sad as it does work but not worth killing my dryer. I bought it for my recently purchased Dyson nural. It doesn’t fit due to the sensor so I removed the center piece. It doesn’t get enough wind speed to wind the hair. I’m going to give it to my coworker who has the Dyson supersonic. I’ll update to see if it works for her.

I tried the first version of this adapter n it didn’t work. Flimsy n barrels fell right off. Got this upgraded one with locking switch & it held up good 👍🏻 so glad I got it. 😄 Just don’t let it over heat ! Let your hairdryer rest in between n cool off a little.

I ordered the extended adjustable dyson hair wand and it advised to purchase the 1.6" but in my opinion this is not worth the money at all. It's too thick and does not collect hair nearly as well as the regular curlers that come with the unit. Now I will order the standard ones in a longer thinner size and basically just wasted my money on this in my opinion. I felt that not having to switch the curlers would make a world of difference but it's not worth the money and they hyped this up much more than it deserved to be.
