  • These work great. No complaints. Programming was easy. Don't let the locksmith scare you away.
Color: f-fus-flip [2]
My wife has a real problem with losing keys. So when we bought her a 2013 Ford Fusion, it came with two keys, but I started right away researching how to get some more spare keys. I couldn't believe the roughly $300 price that dealers were charging for a new key. Eventually I found that spare keys such as these can be purchased aftermarket, laser cut by a locksmith, and then programmed by yourself. And what's more, the process is really easy. So I purchased two of these keys on Amazon, uncut. I purchased a laser cutting service on the world's biggest auction website for about $22 per key, and mailed the keys (entire fob with key still inside) to that company in Florida. They cut the keys based on a photo of my two working car keys, and I also provided them my car's VIN. When the keys were returned to me, I programmed them in about 2 minutes as follows: 1 - Insert a working 'master' key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (just short of actually starting the engine), and wait about 3 seconds. 2 - Remove the key and then put the 2nd master key in, turn to the ON position for 3 seconds, and remove it. 3 - Insert one of the newly cut keys, turn to the ON position, and wait about 6 seconds. The car display will say something like "Key Programmed". I forget the exact message. At this point, your spare key is working. It will start your car, lock/unlock your doors, turn on the alarm, and pop the trunk. If you need to program a 4th key, just repeat steps 1 through 3 again using the unprogrammed key in step 3. I have no complaints at all about these keys. They seem solid. They flip open and closed easily, and all the buttons work right. I suppose it would be cool if they had the Ford logo on them, but really, they are just spares anyway. No big deal. All told, I paid about $120 to get two working spares - $60 each. A local locksmith wanted $60 each just to program them, which would have brought the price to about $185 - over $90 each. (Oh, by the way, the local locksmith tried to talk me out of programming them myself - said "you'll never be able to do it yourself, it's so complicated." Yeah, right.) And my final option was the dealer, at about $600 total. As far as I'm concerned, these keys are a great deal, and were well worth the effort of learning how to get them cut and program them. If you're on the fence, just know it's really easy. The most time consuming thing was doing the research (but I've done that for you!), and packing and shipping the keys to the cutter. If you have the time, I'd encourage you to take the leap. Good luck. I hope this review helps you make a decision. ... show more

  • Must have original keys!
Color: f-fus-flip [2]
I bought these keys when my 2 original key fobs stopped all function besides turning the car on. I changed the batteries out. Nothing. I took them to the dealership and they told me they were dead and to replace ONE it would cost $289! We initially bought these keys thinking we could switch out my already cut key into the new working fob. We did this. When trying to program it we found we needed to have the 2 original keys to program it to work. So that was a fail. We then switched everything back to the way it was and I hunted down a local locksmith via FB that was able to cut both my new keys for $50. I then was able to program by doing the following: 1. enter original key 1 and turn to to on for 3 seconds (do not start car) 2. enter original key 2 and turn to to on for 3 seconds (do not start car) 3. enter replacement key and turn to on and let it program (do not start car) Your key should now be programmed to turn your car on and off. However, your other key fob functions may still not work. I did some MORE research and found that if you disconnect your battery for a minute or 2 and reconnect this should reset your fob and make everything work. It did! Great buy! So happy I was able to get 2 new working keys for $120 VS $289 for 1! If you are questioning it, just buy it! Glad I did & hope this review helps. ... show more

  • Complete junk, stopped unlocking car within 2 weeks. Seller won't provide return shipping.
Color: f-fus-flip [2]
These remotes will start the car after being paired with it, but all of the remote control functions (unlock, lock, open trunk, panic button) slowly stopped working inside the first 2 weeks of use, and now are totally non-functional. It isn't the battery - I tried replacing it, with both fobs. Didn't help. I contacted the seller, but they refused to provide return shipping for warranty replacement or refund, simply because I was outside the 30-day Amazon return window. They claim they are "unable" to provide prepaid return shipping due to Amazon, which is ridiculous. So, beware, these fobs only have a 30-day warranty. ... show more

  • Just a shell.
Color: f-fus-flip
This was the incorrect key fob for my vehicle application. My error. That said, it is not a key fob...it is a key fob shell. If your fob is broken or missing, this won't do anything to help you.

  • Work Like OEM Fobs
Color: f-fus-flip [2]
My son needed a second Fob for his new to him 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It only came with one fob originally when he bought it. For the price, we bought the two pack. Local Locksmith did 2 for 1 programing. Dealership wanted nearly $300 for 1 new programed fob. My son bought this 2 pack for $30. Local locksmith programmed them for another $100. They appear to be as good a quality as his one OEM fob, and are 100% functional. A great price for what he got, and he basically has 2 backups ready to go. Totally the way to go vs messing with replacements through a car dealership. ... show more
