I ordered 3, 1.2 cu ft fireproof safes for my family at Christmas. I knew they were made in china but were good safes. One was damaged upon arrival so I sent it back. Easy process and free return through Amazon. There was no more of that kind available so I purchased a 1.2 cu ft safe through Iron Hawk. An American safe company family owned, out of Utah. I looked at their website first. Paid double for this safe as per the first safes but at least it is American. Well well, when it arrived the box clearly marked ‘made in china’. When opened it was the exact safe as the other china safes only with iron hawk logo! Decent safe but double price just for logo. There are other safes out there that are just as good but a lot cheaper. Or upgrade to Sentry. ... show more

This safe is absolutely amazing, solid sturdy constructed like a regular big gun safe. Easy to set up the keypad, heavy enough to not make it easy to walk off with. Does come with bolts to attach to floor. Nice inside carpet and added shelf. Can’t say enough about this safe! Love it

I do like this safe and do recommend it. However, the instructions could be better - I had to go on-line to figure some of this out. The instructions should have a diagram to point to the items they call out. For example, they say 'to open your safe for the first time, remove the override key cover.' I could not figure out where this was and a simple diagram would have helped!!! This is why I deducted a star. ... show more

What an upgrade this was over my previous "safe" I got from the hardware store and used for my important papers. The construction on this thing is identical to larger gunsafes I have seen, but the size is ideal for pretty much everyone. It's big enough to actually store you valuables or documents, but small enough to fit almost anywhere- you don't need a professional mover to install it. It is portable for when you need to move, but it can be bolted down for decent enough security and protection. The layout is great, too. This is an excellent safe for carrying 2-3 EDC CCW setups with holsters and mag carriers attached. I still have room for spare mags, spare ammo, EDC Torniquet etc. The safe is super sturdy, made of heavy gauge metal and weighs alot. So it’s a nice quality safe.
