I recently acquired a budget stainless steel 15-inch smokeless fire pit made by Zorestar, but it didn’t come with a lid. I came close to ordering a lid similar to this one made for the Ranger by Solo Stove, but oddly it didn’t have the nice handle that this one does. I am using the lid not to protect the fire pit from the elements, but to contain the sparks and embers once I am done using the firepit, so that I can ensure it is safe if I walk away if the fire isn’t completely out. I’m glad I went with this one because it works well for my needs. It nestles well on top of my fire pit, and it does not slide off the fire pit. It’s got some heft to it at 2.25-pounds. Fortunately, it comes with a robust rubber coated handle for lifting the lid when it is hot. I found that you can place a mug on the lid for a quick warming since it is flat and not convex like some lids offered by other manufacturers. The listing indicates that the base has a diameter of 15-inches, but I measured it to be 15.25-inches from rim to rim. Although the listing says it is made of stainless steel, I only keep it outside when in use, and bring it in after the pit has completely cooled, so I cannot attest to whether or not it is truly stainless and will not rust. For anyone that will be keeping it in the elements, I hope it is truly stainless. As long as it is really stainless, it is a useful fire pit lid at a reasonable price compared to the name brand equivalent but still a bit on the pricey side for what you get. It should work well for smokeless fire pits that have a lid diameter of 14 to 15-inches. ... show more

I thought this would be a good lid for my solo stove bonfire… I liked that it had a handle on top. The problem is it fits too tight… My bonfire is painted, and the lid fits so tight, it actually marred some of the paint around the rim. I returned it and bought the lid that solo stove makes for it, and it fits perfectly. I would encourage anyone with an actual solo stove brand to buy their lid and skip this one. ... show more

I’m using for a different brand fire pit after measuring to make sure it would fit over the top. Nice stainless, just 2 quick screws to attach handle. We live in an area that snows and rains a lot so this is almost a necessity. Works great.
