    • Very cool lock - works well if you have realistic expectations
I really like this lock, but first let’s be clear about what it is: it is almost exactly the same size and strength as my old combination lock that I used for luggage. It would be great for a locker, etc, and would prevent someone from casually riffling through your stuff. But it is not an outdoor padlock, and won’t stop someone with a hammer or crowbar. I use this on my backpack when I travel. It isn’t TSA approved, but that is ok if it is just on your carry on. Just don’t put it on checked luggage! I was originally concerned it might be big or heavy, but that was not a problem at all. It looks sleek and everyone who saw it loved it! I think it ends up being safer than a combo lock, since I can easily open it faster, even in the dark, and don’t have the risk of someone seeing my passcode. It was slightly annoying to set up. But even so, it only took 5 min at most. The instructions could be a bit more clear, but it you really carefully follow it word for word, it works. The seller seems a bit rough around the edges. The packaging isn’t that elegant, and there are a lot of typos all over the place. But... it isn’t an expensive purchase and I didn’t have any problems with it, so I’m still giving it 5 stars. First the lock is allot smaller than they make it appear of images. Strength wise the shackel only goes in about 3mm which is absolutly not enough to properly secure a lock. If any component bends slightly inside this lock is completely useless. Also the fingerprint scanner is not as sensitive as some small videos show it is. It defenatly does not like cold weather (60*F) or a wet or damp finger. It took me over 2 hrs to set up my self and 4 other people on this lock. ... show more

    • Doesn't work
I read the reviews and, even with some of the negative ones, figured it was worth a try as a gym locker lock. It isn't. First, setting the admin thumbprint. Followed the directions, once I had the admin set, I can rarely use that finger to unlock or put the lock in admin mode. Second, I did the get the lock to register a second fingerprint and thought I would at least use that. Confirmed that that fingerprint consistently unlocked the lock. Third, went to gym to use lock. Locked everything up, worked out, came back to grab stuff for shower. Couldn't get the lock to close securely. After getting home, played more with the lock. If I force it very hard, I can get it to close. Final thoughts? Can't give it 0 stars but it was a waste of money ... show more

Battery failed 2 days after fully charged and was on my locker on my job I tried to charge lock for over 4 hours while on my locker but it just wasn’t taking charge So I had to cut it to enter the locker.I I love the lock but maybe this one was defective. I probably won’t take a chance with one again For fear of getting locked out again. If other people wants to take a chance ,it’s ok Maybe they’ll be lucky enough to get one that’s durable and will live up to it’s intent. ... show more

This lock is so incredible for when you have to bolt anything without any hassle and thinking twice. For my situation I use it to lock my bike at the office, yet you could utilize this to lock numerous different things like your personal lockers or for your gym locker or possibly use it to bolt your precious things at work.. The whole set up takes about few minutes and the best thing of all is that you can add others to have the option to open the lock like your spouse also. ridiculous false advertisement. check my images. left side of the first image shows the photo in the description, the right shows my thumb and the actual lock. the product's image clearly shows a lock where the reader is big enough to read at least part of your thumb and the lock itself can be held in your first, almost half the size of your hand. in reality, my thumb is bigger than the lock itself, see second image. I promise you, I am not Andre the Giant. this is a lock for a diary, not a gym locker or place you would store anything valuable like your car keys or phone. you could probably break this lock with your bare hands or possibly a stiff pencil to pop it open. ... show more

Ok, well at least I got it to work, sorta. There's a mechanism inside that sometimes locks and sometimes misses. All it takes is another fingerprint to reverse that mechanism, then the latch can be realigned to catch in place when locking. Granted you won't be rushed for time when locking your locker, and unlocking its fairly consistent, but it's still not a 5-star product. I'd pay much more for a gym lock this size that's built better for higher security. Phone, wallet, computer sometime in my locker, this one isn't gonna help me sleep better.     • Terrible product without registration failsafes
This is my second and last attempt with this lock/product. While the directions are straightforward, there is no failsafe in place for when the initial registration fails - and the directions even indicate a certain color of light will mean failurr. Even when following the steps exactly as described my fingerprint authorization “failed” and now the lock is defunct because there is no way to workaround or reset this “failure”.
