This lock seems to work fairly well for the most part. The one frustration that I have is that whenever you lock it from the outside it unlocks and relax three times. I have reset the lock twice, which is somewhat of a process and hassle when you have to re-enter, everyone’s fingerprints in the household. I love the fingerprint option because it’s not a code that can be shared with anyone else. For this reason why I love this product. The code keypad function does not seem to be as reliable as the fingerprint function. Sometimes I feel that I’m entering the wrong code yet the door still open. I can’t say this for sure but other members of the family have felt the same way. For this reason, I wiped away all the codes, except for the required master code that only I know, and now I only use the fingerprint option for everyone in the household. This is worked wonderfully. Again, my only complaint is that when you lock it from the outside, it locks and relax several times. For this reason, I also had to disable the auto lock function. Whenever someone would open the door it would automatically lock after about 30 seconds, but it would automatically lock and unlock 3 to 4 times which was very annoying. Again this continue to happen even after I reset it. When I had entered the master code It was not having this issue while locking. Once I started entering different users fingerprints that is when the unlocking and locking problem came up again. Not sure what it’s related to, but seems like with one code. It doesn’t happen when you enter multiple codes or enter multiple fingerprints. That’s when it locks and unlocks 3 to 4 times when you lock it from the outside. ... show more

This lock was very easy to install and set up. It has all the features of more expensive locks. I did see others say the fingerprint reader was iffy and I live in a very humid city. I guess we'll see how it works once the spring and summer roll back around. I like that you can set the automatic lock timer and that the key hole isn't hidden behind the keypad. The lock looks very nice and matches my other black hardware perfectly. I also like that this lock beeps and that you can turn off the sound if you want. Very satisfied. I used good batteries so hopefully they last a while. We'll see! This lock was a replacement for a much more expensive amart lock that quit working one year in. So far so good. ... show more

I've gone through 4 kwicklocks in 3 years. Decided to give this one a try. We are over month in, and here's the pro's and cons pro: -Easy to install, AFTER you pay close close attention to the programming section -fingerprint works great 95% of the time. (if it's humid or your fingers are cold, forget it!) -the lock opens SUPER quick, which is great. Kwick brand was super slow -we are a busy household, going in and out ALL THE TIME, 6 weeks later, we are still on the same set of batteries, so that's a plus. was having to change the batteries in other brand at least once a month. Con: -for fingerprinting, the weather plays a factor, too humid, or wet, you have to wipe your finger AND the sensor, so it's easier to just input your code. -Set up, pay close attention to the codes you have to enter for either fingerprint or code, I messed up and ended up deleting fingerprints (due to how the other brands set up was, muscle memory i guess, so if your like me, just pay attention) ... show more

This was easier than putting a deadbolt and the door knob on, even though I had pre-drill holes Programming was easy too, just follow the instructions. It was so easy I think I did it in 20 minutes maybe 25 at the most Definately a must, we will see the durability and performance

Just FYI. Your new master and personnel code can be 4 digits long. Doesn't need to be eight like the one that comes pre programed with it. Not clear in instructions about that. Great lock btw.
