Switched from my T3 to this dryer and it was a good move for my fine hair. This dryer doesn’t get excessively hot, and I’ve noticed that even with daily use my hair isn’t becoming crispy or dry, which was happening with the T3.     • THIS. INCREDIBLE. BLOW DRYER!!
Truly love this FHI blow dryer! I originally purchased the same blow dryer back in 2018 and it’s been FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, to my own fault, I would wrap the cord, bending it hard at a 180 which over time caused it to break and expose the wires. PSA: Do NOT kink the cord! I used electrical tape and it’s been fine but I felt like this was dangerous so I decided to invest in a new blow dryer. My real hair is semi-fine but I have quite a bit of it. I’m naturally a dark brunette, but am currently a golden blonde that went from tape-in extensions to invisible bead wefts for length and fullness. So my hair gets abuse with chemical processing and stress of extensions. I need something that gets the job down quickly without additional damage. I purchased the super expensive Dyson…hated it - left my natural hair feeling extremely dried out, frizzy and brittle. Same with 2 different Babyliss blow dryers. So I went back to my original true love the FHI Platform Nano Power. My hair feels healthy, not dried out, frizzy or brittle. The drying power is EXCELLENT and it’s not super heavy. PLUS my hair doesn’t get sucked into the backend! As a person who believes in the power of a blow dryer this machine is AMAZING! Definitely HIGH VALUE for the price! It comes with a looooong power cord so you are not trapped to the outlet, a travel bag, a Velcro tie to safely keep your cord wrapped up while traveling or not in use, an extra filter and attachments! I have been a Hairdresser/Stylist for 30 years. I bought my first FHI Heat platform 8 years ago from a salon base retail store (Salon Centric). I was having elbow pain and needed something lightweight. Recently my blow dryer was starting to make noise and after 8 years getting tired. I was unable to find this brand at the salon base stores and I bought a lightweight backup dryer. After the first day of the back up dryer I knew I had to find my same FHI Heat again! So I stated researching, I found what came as close as what I had here on amazon and purchased it. I was a little torn between the FHI Platform 2000 and their other FHI Platform lightweight dryer, but both seemed to weigh the same in the details so I figured I would give the Platform 2000 a chance and if I didn't like it or if it didn't meet my expectations I could return it? After first use I LOVE it! It is quieter then any dryer I have used and dries hair evenly, quickly and silky! I am amazed and it is just as light as their lightweight version! And the price on amazon was the best I had found and I knew if I needed to return it would be easier thru amazon, so please if you are looking for a great professional dryer do not hesitate to purchase this dryer!!! I know if your not a Stylist the price might be a lot for you, but If you have difficult hair and are looking for a great dryer and have the funds give it a go! Long time Elchim user. Got this as gift and holy smokes it's good. The power. The attachments. The long (And I mean it has to be 20ft.) That being said after a year of hard salon use, the cord has twisted like a phone cord from the 80's. After each client I have to untwist the madness. That's my only complaint. ... show more

As a cosmetologist I need fast and efficient. This dries quick with a mirror finish. It is not loud and light weight with a really long cord!

    • I love the way it Does my hair.
I've only used this dryer twice and both times I really liked the way it dried my hair. It works quickly and leaves my hair shiny rather than dull. I have to get used to holding the dryer. My finger keeps slipping and pressing the blue button that changes the temperature of the air flow; but, I think, that's more about me than the hair dryer. I do have a complaint though. As I stated, I've only used the dryer twice and I was shocked to find while in the middle of my second use that the FHI name and all other writing had rubbed off the dryer. Honestly it made me wonder if I had a fake knock off with FHI's name printed on it. Is it the norm for the print to rub off of FHI products? I purchased this dryer along with the FHI Heat Platform Tourmaline Ceramic Professional Hair Styling Iron. So far, the flat iron still has all the print on it. I am seriously considering exchanging the one I have for another one. Because if I'm going to buy an FHI product, I want to see the FHI name/logo - especially if it's only my second use of the product. ... show more

gets hot, but not like on fire hot. I love the cold switches, they actually do their job. this is amazing for locking in that shine. This is my second one, not because the last one broke, But just wanted to upgrade. With that said...I never really saw the huge benefit of the back vent attachment for the ion. the diffuser attachment is cool, does not work amazing on me because I have more straight than wavy. but if you have more curly hair, this is lovely, a true top quality diffuser. ceramic and tourmaline ladies...this IS the way to go sleek and clean cords not too loud blows fast makes hair bouncy priced right this hair dryer I have found to work best not just on its own, but to also get yourself some nice products...1. New Quality, IOn Hairbrush 2. Quality Shampoo and Conditioner 3. products, argan oil especially if you have some frizz and volume. 4. once a week leave in conditioner (i use one and only from sallys) the best and lower in price than a fekkai leave in... When I do treat my hair to above routine, it dries faster, looks bouncy shiny healthy like in a TV ad...seriously ... show more
