Our 11yo has been obsessing over RC trucks for a couple weeks now - watching videos, shopping Amazon and garage sales. He knew exactly what to spend his birthday money on! With this one, he was not disappointed. Makes the 1995 11yo me a bit jealous. The truck is fast! Struggles on tall grass, but it needs the low height to keep it from rolling. There's besides the trigger, there's a speed limiter on the controller useful for practicing inside or for younger drivers. Battery lasts longer thank I expected. He just drove it hard for 30 minutes riding wheelies, jumping curbs, and cartwheeling through the grass - and that was only the first battery. If he had the other charged, no doubt we'd still be going. The truck also seems durable. The control arms and bottom skid plate feel like a thick ABS plastic. The roof and hood have metal plates. It also has an optional wheelie bar that you'll want to install pretty early. He's only had this RC truck for a few days, but it already blows away any other truck he owns. I purchased this for my dogs to chase around to keep them mobile as they're getting into their elderly years. I figured they would chase it and have fun, and I was right. The battery was still good to go even after 15 minutes of full accelerations . The shell and overall construction is able to withstand some good abuse especially with 180lb dogs stepping on it and catching it. They've caught it numerous times and have trampled it non stop. My dogs have a high prey drive and this RC car has them acting like young adults again and they're getting the exercise they need. I limit them to 10 minutes of play so as not to over work them. If they break it today or tomorrow I'd buy another one just for the fun they have chasing this thing ! Great value and withstands some major abuse. ... show more

Bought two of these. One as a gift one for myself. Thr gift motor went out right away. Tried messaging the seller to figure out getting replacement parts. The car comes with a parts catalog with part numbers and everything. Just no info where to order from. The second car shock frame/support broke going over some rocks on my yard same day it came. Spend a little more on something sturdier and that you can for sure get parts from. Seller has yet to reply ... show more

The RC car is fast and very manoeuvrable. The controls are very intuitive. Bought 2, 1 for me and 1 for my son. We can race against each other. For the money I doubt you'll find a better car. Comes with 2 batteries and includes the charger. Spare parts. Feels really well made and is solid

Came in a day earlier which was nice. The RC is pretty big and has a solid feel. Has an extra battery and some parts. Like how it has speed adjustment for if you want it extremely fast outdoors, or slow if you’re inside the house. For the price, it seems like a steal. got this car for my son who is 6 yrs old and its enough for him. hardcore bashers stay away or maybe beginners are welcomed. It’s a great price for a fast 1/12 RC car!! I usually only buy name brands like Traxxas or Arma, but decided just to try this little car out and so far it’s been a blast even The shell of the car is super reinforced as you can see in the picture. The only problem I do see just like other reviewers is in the book itself There’s no way to contact support or a website to order parts so i guess when its toasts its toast unless you have some good skills to Frankenstein a fix ... show more

    • A little too responsive(flips a lot)
I really like this thing, coming from higher end upgraded 1/10 RCs, I'm fairly used to the speed of this little 1/16. However I have never had an rc that flips as much as this one when you apply the brakes. The included wheelie bar is a must, but that won't stop it from flipping FORWARD spinning in a circle or two on it's bumper when you brake. So be careful of sudden stopping unless you want to go pick this thing up by hand. I had to flip the battery the other way to get it into the car easily because tolerances are tight on this chassis, but I really do like this cars style otherwise. The controller is decent for the value of this thing, though I do have some issues with it. The light switch is too easy to toggle just from holding the controller, I'm accidentally doing so quite a bit. The speed trim basically has 3 settings: SUPER slow - slow - SUPER fast. I ran through it slow turning the dial and it seemed to only change speed three times, with no real way of fine tuning to a speed I really wanted. My last issue is the steering wheel, It has a little nub on it for what I can only assume is driving it fully one handed, the nub constantly hits my thumb. The last issue is fixable, but I thought I should point it out. All-in-all this RC is absolutely worthwhile if you are just getting into things and want to try out the hobby or are gifting this to someone! Just careful of the speed this thing can dish out - the body is partly made of metal so it will last, but also could hurt a bit. ... show more
