So here in CA we some lowe earthquakes and I have the recorder on the wall wit some screws holding it.. so it fell on the floor and hardisk started making clics (sign o going out) still it was able to record , decided to save the device so I opened it and took HD out and connected it to PC, I am using Ubuntu 22.04. Made an image of the OS about 5.5 gigabytes was required, saved it in my PC then got me a 2 terabyte HD, made a partition of 6gigabyte and used the saved image into that partitition.. Booted up survillance device and worked fine, OS stated that my disk was formated and required me to reformat with its own file system which I did, and started recording footage again.. So in all, good device easy to fix.. only thing is that the CPU chip gets really hot.. and the little heatsink its not enough to could it down. ... show more

After purchasing this items and having it installed and also purchasing an additional camera. The 4 camera that came with the bundle 3 of the 4 cameras worked properly but the 4th camera would not connect and still hasn’t been auto connect the 4th camera. Now, as stated, I did purchase a 5th camera that was install led and connected properly. After being sent another system, it was advised to take a camera front the box and install that camera which in turn still wouldn’t connect to the system. The installer attempted to connect all the cameras in the box none in which would not connect to the system. Bottom line, I am unable to connect but 4 cameras to a 16 channel system. That’s have been a nightmare, I have spent addition money for the installer to come out both time they had to come out to attempt to connect the additional cameras. It certainly not worth the time or money spent on this system. No help from Amazon or the seller tech support! ... show more

Straightforward to install and works well. I have a complaint about the ads however. When you install the screen shows icons to scan supposedly to get a phone app. It took me to a useless paysite that signed me up for a $60 a month streaming service. I was able to cancel, but this is slimy.

This is my 3rd system with Hiseeu in 10 yrs., as I live in Fl.(the hurricanes take them out). Easy to hook up and use. Great pic. (even at nite) awesome support techs. if needed.

I was looking for security cameras that I could control the storage myself, locally, and I found this one by Hiseeu. It had been sitting in a box in my closet for 3 years now, so it took me a while to finally get around to setting them up. I had this thought in my head that it would be a royal pain to set up but to my utter amazement... everything worked GREAT, right away, right out of the box it was just sitting in for years! I didn't have to connect or configure anything, and it just worked! Granted, if you want the best experience, there are some things you'll want to set up, like the times you want active monitoring and recording to take place, and how sensitive the motion detection is, but it was all so easy! And a bonus, that it CAN also connect through wire and wireless to the internet (ONLY if you want) and gives you access to a free app, that you can connect to your phone. It's so great to have the piece of mind that my data, and security footage, is all locally stored (and in a giant 1TB hardrive for even the most budget friendly one I bought) and it can all be cleaned out with ease, and saving specific recordings to a flashdrive is super easy too, as it saves in a file format used everywhere. This device is hands down one of the greatest things I've ever bought, and I will definitely be buying more of this company's products going forward!
