Wasn't keen on paying 200+ for the official-er Google x Yale deadbolt and came across this clearance $150 lock. Installation was easy, and the wifi gateway has been working well, effectively extending the range of my wifi which isn't close to where the lock is installed. Fingerprint reader is definitely the way to go, but don't expect Google pixel phone fingerprint reader accuracy or speed. It does get the job done and is faster than punching in codes. I haven't had any issues with auto lock locking while the door is open. I do have a door closer which will close the door automatically, but entering and exiting before the timeout hasn't been a problem. The lock accurately extends the timeout if I'm entering and exiting before then. That being said, this feature might be best used with a door closer. The only other gripe is the loss of a plug to run the gateway, but it's hidden in my case. ... show more

I’m a 70 year old woman and installed the Eufy Smart Lock Touch in an hour. It works perfectly, easy to set up in the app and gives me reassurance to know I can monitor and operate the lock from anywhere in the house or when away from home. I highly recommend it.

We needed to replace a broken deadbolt and thought we'd bring our front door into the 21st century. PROs: • I love being able to use fingerprints so we don't need to worry about lost keys. • I can easily set new codes in advance or on the fly for visitors. • Programmable so we can be sure it's locked at night if we forget. • Alexa-enabled so I can verbally lock the door if my hands are full/dirty • Installation was not terribly difficult. All I needed was a screwdriver. You do not need to be some macho man to do this if you happen to be intimidated by tech or home improvement (re: my friend who GASPED when hearing that I, a lady, installed door hardware) • Eufy seems reputable. CONs: • Needs more finish options. We paid a premium to get nickel instead of black. • Fingerprint reader is not great for clammy kid fingers for our kid who can't learn a code yet. • Wish it had come with a scannable key card/fob like many other locks of this type for children or elderly. • I would have liked a rechargeable battery. • The interior portion is a bit bulky. • I feel like a doorbell button could have been added since it kinda looks like a lot of the video doorbells on the market. ... show more

I love these locks, easy to install and they all work flawlessly. Not one glitch since installing these and the alerts come immediately. The front door is connected to the Eufy wireless doorbell camera and I can open and close the door from within the doorbell camera view. I have had this for just over a year. It was supposed to be an upgrade for the old lock. It was a pain to install. It didn't seem to match the standard pattern for locks, but I got it in after a few modifications. It worked fine for the first month, but then became more and more fussy. Jamming and refusing to lock or unlock more often than it would work, unless you used the manual key. I decide to just use it as a manual lock until I had time to focus why it wasn't working well. So, I thought I would get a couple of extra keys made. Shocked to find out that even a locksmith couldn't duplicate the keys. Totally custom and would have to order from the manufacturer. I finally just replaced it with another company's system. The new one went right in and seems to work well and uses standard key blanks. I would suggest you skip this one. ... show more

Nice smart lock that helps from having to worry about the young ones or family keeping up with keys. The fingerprint scanner works great with no problems; plus the ability to keep up with the alerts on my phone as the administator. Another great product from the Anker family.
