    • Mind the screws
Would recommend using wood glue at the pegs. Sadly, this is the kind of item that once it's assembled, do not move it around too much. Looks nice, but the door doesn't stay closed because the screws would not attach. In other places, the screws did not really allow for stabilization.

It's average at best. Once assembled, the joints are not as tight as they should be. The cost is to high for this item.

I am so happy with this mantle surround. It really is beautiful and it took me an hour and 15 minutes to put it together all by myself and I am a small woman. The mantel arrived quickly. I was able to assemble it by myself. It seems pretty sturdy but it does have a bit of a wobbliness when trying to move it. I was disappointed to find some scratches and dings. I expected for the price that it should be in perfect condition. I ordered the actual heater box before ordering the mantel and it was too big for my existing mantel. I was disappointed to find that the brackets that are supposed to anchor the heater to the mantel were not included with my fireplace. The screws were there but no brackets. ... show more

Very disappointing. Holes did not match up on parts #11 as shown. Part #4 you can tell they knew they messed up and tried to fill the wrong drilled holes but never put in the right ones. Lots of dings and dents. I feel like I way over paid for a used looking mantel. If I didnโ€™t spend an hour putting it together and donโ€™t want to spend another hour taking it apart and trying to get it back into a box I would definitely return this one. ... show more
