  • Slower Than First One Bought
Style: 3-Wheel Spitfire Pro EXT Color: Multi
I have this scooter. Fell off 2 inch curb in New York and it wouldn’t connect together correctly. Bought new one but it is not as fast!! The wiring I believe is not correct. However, before throwing old scooter out—tried reconnecting it and it works; still better than this one. The batteries are not the problem. The ride on the new one is slower and the forward/reverse lever works just the opposite. ... show more

  • A bit heavy but very nimble
Style: 3-Wheel Spitfire Pro EXT Color: Multi
More then happy with the mobility chair although the first chair I ordered was damaged in shipping (due to the delivery driver in my area being careless) which was swiftly replaced with a excellent working unit. I am pleased with the chair and so is my aunt who can now enjoy the outside and shopping a lot more then she could in her wheelchair. It is small enough to move around our fairly cramped apartment. It is a bit on the heavy side with myself being of average strength having a little trouble loading it into the trunk of a car. Once again I would like to say that it is a great personal power chair and it has improved my aunt's motivation to want to go out. ... show more

  • So Far So Good!
Style: 3-Wheel Spitfire Pro EXT Color: Multi
I have only used the scooter for a two day trip to Disneyland. It worked out fine. I did have a problem disconnecting the main portion with the drive shaft and front wheel from the back wheels when I had to put the scooter in my car. This happened more than once. My very able body son even had a problem with it. Instructions were of no help. You have to make sure that the back wheels are in a perfect position to remove the front portion (there needs to be better instructions or at least a link to a video with close up of how everything is connected). Battery charged overnight and lasted all day. It is heavy so bend those knees when picking up from the ground. I am definitely the not the strongest person out there but I was able to load it in the back of my car (RAV4) with only minimal difficulty (dang weight of the battery). Aesthetically I do like that I can change the bumper colors whoever they are also somewhat difficult to figure out (yet again lack of instructions). I put the white bumper on primarily because every body has either blue or red out there. Much easier to find when you have to park it somewhere. I am going on a few day trips in the next month so I will update after that. ... show more

  • Close but not quite (90 days later) + one last thought
Style: 3-Wheel Spitfire Pro EXT Color: Multi
The scooter was fairly easy to assemble and, although, the battery gauge said it was full, the battery took 16 hours before the charger turned green. The scooter is very unstable on any kind of incline and turns must be very slow.It seems a bit fragile but gets from point a to point b. The real reason I dropped a star was the seat. ( rant warning) The seat was too short front to back and the 1/2 inch of padding may as well not been there. It felt like I was falling forward all the time. The seams split the first time i sat on it also. The plastic covered cloth did not breathe at all so I was sweating like crazy in two minutes. I rate the seat at one star and will replace it somehow. (rant over) All IN ALL the scooter goes where I want it to go when I want it to go there. I do recommend it, just not the seat. Just after the 60 day warranty period ended the batteries died. One day they were fine, the next day I had a range of about 25 ft. I will not take off a star for this, batteries are sensitive things and these do come from china. When I can figure how to get into the battery box I will get some good batteries and try again. The scooter died and the company is finding every reason on this planet to not help. They will not even let me talk to a tech person. This was a huge mistake! I have made 6 more calls and sent 25 more email to drive medical and not received one answer. If you choose to buy from them, good luck. ... show more

I bought the Spitfire for my husband to make it easier for him to get around the neighbor hood or when we go on trips. Just getting through the airport can be a real challenge. He can't walk very far without help. Since having the scooter, we have been able to walk my dog around the block. My husband really enjoyed seeing the neighbor hood again from a different perspective. He is looking forward to going to football games and the two trips that we have planned this fall. ... show more

  • Works great the first 2-3 months then after that you are on your own.
Style: 3-Wheel Spitfire Pro EXT Color: Multi
I live near the theme parks of Central Florida and I use my scooter 2-3 days a week. Nothing crazy. The trouble started when I plugged my battery in and it showed full. Get to the park or dinner and the battery has gone to critical levels. I’ll plug in for another hour and the chord says full, the indicator says full and I drive a way and with in 10 minutes the battery is drained. Customer support has been unwilling to help, so I guess I’m stuck. I have found that this problem is well known to the company and the batteries are defective. ... show more
