  • 2013 grand caravan hitch using a 20v impact.
The media could not be loaded. Easy to install and fitted literally perfect. I used a Dewalt 20v impact to take out the bolts and to reinstall them. If you use a regular wrench, it will take you a while to do the install. (Careful with your wrists). The driver side was very easy to remove the bolts and to reinstall them. The passenger side however has a muffler and you will need to remove two muffler bolts hangers in two different locations, so that way muffler can nudge to the side a little bit to get to the bolts. I suggest you do the muffler side first so that way you can put the hitch onto the muffler (you have to angle the hitch in) so the muffler can hold the hitch in place with no bolts. Then you raise the driver side and insert the bolts finger tighten. Next you go to the passenger side and start to put the bolts on there as well. Once all the bolts are in place then you can tighten the hitch bolts in. Once all the hitch bolt are secured reinstall the muffler bolts back in. I also used my ramps to raise the back of the van which helped insert the passenger side through the muffler. It is heavy so ask for help if you need it. Took me less than 30 min. ... show more

  • Use a breaker bar and rhino ramps.
Product is great quality is fantastic. The UPS driver struggled with this awkwardly shaped heavy object for delivery. Couple suggestions before you buy this. Get a 2-3ft breaker bar from harbor freight it will make your life easy. I could not have done this without this since the bolts on my 2015 chrysler T&C were rusted over. Rhino ramps and wheel chocks made this super easy to install along with an extra set of hands. I'm overally cautious so i also used jack stands. Overall took maybe 30 minutes from start to finish to install. I also use Remove 7 total bolts. Put on hitch. Then put the 7 bolts back. Hitch is just heavy and awkward. I used a floor jack/jack stands to help position the hitch for install. ... show more

  • Draw tite has always made a great product and I’m sure this hitch will provide many ...
I have worked with Draw Tite and other hitch products Over a span of 30 years and installed them when I was younger professionally. They are asy to install if you have the right tools, if not, leave it to someone that does. At a minimum you need a long breaker bar or air tools to remove and install the bolts in the frame of the car. I did not have A breaker bar or air tools but did not expect the issues I ran into to install it. One bolt was cross threaded and it was an exhausting chore to remove it. This hitch did not require any drilling but many do, make sure you check before ordering so you know what to expect. You also need at least 2 people since the Chrysler town and country has a bumper that goes in the frame which the bolts go into. You have to align all of the parts to get the bolts started. Make sure you get them all started before tightening them or you may have difficulty getting the other bolts started. Due to the issues with the cross threaded bolt and getting them all started without having to do a lot of loosening and tightening, it took about an hour and a half to install it. As for the receiver itself, Draw tite has always made a great product and I’m sure this hitch will provide many years of service. Check all bolts annually and it should last the life of your vehicle. ... show more

  • Very Sturdy
Easy enough to install (moving the exhaust was annoying but part of that process). Appears to be very sturdy and fits great. I used a cargo hauler with about 400lbs on it for 800 miles. I had zero issues with the hitch and happy to finally have one installed! Biggest recommendation is to make sure you have the right tools. I had to purchase a breaker bar wrench as it was not possible to remove existing bolts without it. Very satisfied! ... show more

  • Well made and great price
If it weren’t for getting the bolts out of the van very easy to install. It took about 2 hours to install by myself.

  • Perfect fit for a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country
This bolted on our 2011 Chrysler Town and Country without any issues. Our only complaint is that it was not fully wrapped to protect the finish. Some paint was missing from the bottom of the frame, but nothing to be concerned about - I am confident it will outlast our van. You only really need are a metric socket set to install. A ratchet with a longer handle and an angled head makes accessing the passenger bolts a bit easier. A pair of ramps is also helpful to raise the rear of the vehicle and give easier access to the bolts to lower the exhaust. (There are 2 behind the rear axle and 1 just in front of the rear axle.) The instructions and plastic protector for the AC line come packaged inside the hitch receiver. I was concerned about bolts breaking off due to the age of the vehicle and salt corrosion, but it didn't turn out to be an issue for this van garaged in Virginia. The hitch looks like a factory install with only the receiver visible. We are looking forward to being able to put our bikes out back instead of cramming them inside with us. ... show more
