  • 1 inch lift, fantastic ride!
I installed these on my 2013 F-150 XLT 4x4 Ecoboost. The stock rake on my truck as well as on pretty much all of these no matter what equipment level is 2 inches lower in the front than in the back measured from the ground to the top of the wheel well at its highest point. I had these installed by my Ford dealer who is great and because of the sensitive EPAS steering system. You can really screw this one up if you don't unhook the electrical connectors per factory directions! Plus the bottom bolt sometimes is a huge PITA to get loose it's so tight. Anyway, the installed struts lifted the front by exactly 1 inch so now I still have a slight hardly visible rake of 1 inch. THis is not bad because I do periodically pull a 6500 lbs. boat trailer and I don't want the back lower than the front. If you wanted a little more leveling, summit racing sells high quality aluminum 1/2 leveling spacers on eBay that can be fitted on top of the shocks and that DON'T require longer top bolts since the stock ones allow this 1/4 think space to be mounted and still have enough thread to bolt the shocks into the shock tower. Now for the ride. BOY do these shocks make a huge difference! They ride so much softer it makes the stock shocks seem like they are solid wooden 2x4s I have them currently set on setting 3 and I think I could still go to 4. Alone the ride is completely woth the switch and if you want that additional 1/2 inch lift just get those shims off of eBay. BTW the RS 999935 and RS 999911 struts that are indicated for left and right are 100% identical. There is NO difference between them. I called Rancho because I mixed them up out of the box and there is NO part number on the strut, it's just on the box and they told me that they are identical and that the numbering will eventually be aligned. ... show more

  • Rides like a truck for sure
These are not a soft shock/strut, even at level 1. Level 1 is a very truck like ride, and level 9 is an overly harsh truck like ride. Adjusters are difficult to turn, especially after being exposed to elements. They lifted the truck like intended, however are not any taller than stock strut assembly. Wish I would have went with another company and used the spacer pucks. ... show more

First off what an amazing product! I take my f150 ecoboost off-road a lot, going through mud, inclines, and trails. Holds up very well. I do like the adjustment settings for stiffness. I leave my setting in the middle. Reason for 4 stars is the directions which were not specified for my exact model. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined it's not that hard. Hardest part is removing old shock and putting the new shock in. Place. Took me about 3 hours but once you get once side figured out the other side is a piece of cake. All and all great product, great ride and leveled my truck perfectly ... show more

  • Great Look, Great Ride.
Installs easily because it is the same length as the stock shock. Raised the front of my 2013 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab 4x4 to exactly match the height of the rear wheel well. I love the ride, and the look. It took me one hour per side to install with air tools. One thing I would have done differently - I would have marked the height of my headlight beams on my garage door before I started, so I could have adjusted them more easily when I was done with the lift. My headlight beams were in the bottoms of the trees! ... show more

  • Works, just not great
I've been torn between 3 and 4 stars they did work on my 2013 f150 xlt with 4x4 Pros: -price -Lifts it 2" -Adjustable Cons: -Started to rust about 2 weeks after I installed them -really high spring rate to lift (not enough spring sag even with my steel bumper) -passanger side is already starting to fail at about 10k miles ... show more

  • Awesome product, great ride
Awesome product. Eliminates roll completely, vehicle ride is 100% better. I'm not sure what other ppl were talking about the vehicle rocking like a boat. My truck doesn't do that. It does give the truck a off road suspension feel. I left the setting in the middle position for a combination driving. You will need a deep well 1 3/16 socket for the lower strut bolt. That was the only problem I ran into. And you'll need your strongest friend to break it loose too. I tightened it back as tight as I could then had the shop torque it back to 300 ft pds when I had it realigned. ... show more

  • Good name, poor ride
The ride that I received on my 2013 F150 King Ranch is awful. Too much bouncing on the highway. OEM or Monroe is way better.

  • Not as good as factory springs.
Pros= super quick problem free install..truck looks great leveled........ Cons= I've had these installed for about 5 weeks now and right off the bat I could feel that the springs are not as strong as the factory Ford springs...They're not bad but the springs are definitely not the same spring rate as stock, also when I pull into my driveway which has a small lip at the entrance of the asphalt the truck will rock side to side like a boat over and over until it settles down, it never did that before installing these... By the way I have a 2010 Lariat F150 crew cab tow package that had stock factory front springs and shocks, never towed with the truck and never loaded it much at all..... I've used strut spacer leveling kits before on 4 other trucks (2 GM and 2 Fords) and they keep the factory ride which to me was more controlled. Along with these quick struts I also bought the matching Rancho 9000 series rear shocks and those feel ok still using the factory leaf springs.. Was really hoping these struts would work out as it's a great concept having the strut/spring already pre assembled. Just to note I noticed on a Ford forum that a some other F150 owners also noticed that after installing the quick lift front struts they felt it was weaker than factory. UPDATE: I have only 9000 miles on these and they are both totally broken..I can no longer adjust the front shocks, the red plastic adjustment knob snapped completely off on one strut and on the other strut it is stuck solid. For one thing being a plastic adjustment knob is most likely not the most brilliant design. I would not recommend these at all for longevity. Ended up being a waste of time and money!! ... show more
