  • Accurate but hard to read for aging eyes
G-Shock makes amazing watches. These automatically synchronize with the atomic clock, so always accurate. Also, no worries about batteries dying because the watch is solar. Good looking and yet nostalgic design. Very light, tough and water/shock resistant. Unfortunately, my eyes are at the point of needing reading glasses. That makes glancing at my watch a chore. I'm definitely keeping these as a part of my watch collection, but Timex Expedition, Armatron and Casio Pro Trek will remain my daily work watch choices. They are just much easier to read, numbers are at least twice larger on the dials. ... show more

  • Underrated Perhaps! Good G-Shock
I’ve heard it said from Greg Anderson, YouTube’s Good Timekeeping Show that the G2310 is one of G-Shock’s most underrated models. I agree with Greg that this watch is extremely attractive and functional. Mine is the G2310R-1 which has Tough Solar, but lacks Multi Band 6. Not having the MB6 feature isn’t a huge deal to me since I live in Hawaii and I’m too far away to receive the Multi Band Signal. The watch however is Tough Solar and has all the other basic features found in all G-Shock watches. I got a great deal on this watch because of my Amazon store credit and it’s another worthy Casio G-Shock to add to my collection. I plan on replacing the resin strap on this with a metal bracelet which can be purchased for $25.00 from the NY Watch Store. I’d prefer a genuine Combi Bracelet from Casio, but they are pricey and would cost me more than what I paid for the watch itself. Ali express sells cheap knockoff versions of the Combi Bracelets, but from reviews I’ve read it’s best to avoid them. If you’re not into metal bracelets, but want to upgrade the strap, check out JayandKays on eBay or some of the NATO/Nylon offerings here on the zon. There are many options available to upgrading the stock straps on Casio watches. And if you’re really into modding your watch, check out the SKXMOD kits available from the SKX website. I modded 2 GA B2100 G-Shocks already and the results have been nothing short of stunning. Imagine purchasing a genuine Casioak G-Shock from Casio for $500.00 when you can purchase the resin watch, buy the SKXMOD for around $100.00 and build your own Casioak for $200.00 or less. The mods are sraightfoward and very simple to do. All the tools & parts you need are included with the kit. Happy G-Shock’n! :) Digressing back to the 2310, it gets 5*****Stars from me. Nice G-Shock and it’s affordable. This watch will not disappoint. I’m very pleased with my purchase. ... show more

  • A good watch
Basically I don't believe there is anything perfect, I'd like to give this watch 4.75 stars, but I don't know how to do it. This is a very good watch, especially right after I purchased and returned a NAUTICA Men's N11605G, there are very good comparison points between each other. Both watches are good looking and good prices, but 1st. The Casio's band is very easy to wear and adjust, Nautica's is almost impossible to adjust. 2nd. The C's user's manual is easy to read and into details. The N's is very user unfriendly. 3rd. All C's functions are easy to set, but N's, since the manual is hard to follow, and "set the day" function is not able to set. 4th. The C is a digital watch, all with numbers, easy to read for seniors, such as I am. N is with needles, to me is very hard to read. The C watch is with solar power, I like it very much, especially I live in Las Vegas, plenty sunshine feeds the watch with full power always. ... show more

  • Stylish, Comfortable and Functional (Long Lasting)
This is one of the best looking G-Shock watches that I've owned. Stylish and Functional, more for everyday wear. I have no problems wearing this for more formal occasions. It is less "busy" on the front dial than other G-Shock watches and doesn't have all the "needless" movement from the LCD readout as on other G-Shocks. My last everyday watch was a Citizen solar analogue and was going strong after 7 years until it fell from the table on concrete. The crystal broke and the watch was not worth fixing. I have another Citizen solar watch about 8 years and still going strong so hopefully this solar G-Shock will last for a long time. If you check YouTube, solar watches do need to swap out their “rechargeable battery” that looks like a battery if it fails to charge. Meanwhile I’ll just enjoy using as long as it runs. The functions on this G-Shock are very straight forward and easy to learn especially if you had any type of G-Shock in the past. I love that the display is simple and straight forward. I’ve had early G-Shocks in the past that I’ve used for scuba diving and contact sports. I never had any problems with them. I expect the same from this present G-Shock. The prices on Amazon are great! This G-Shock is a *KEEPER*! __________Update June 9, 2021________________________________ **STILL GOING STRONG** Going into the 6th year owning these watches. Yes, I bought more than one as I didn't count this G-Shock would be this strong(all my G-Shocks running perfectly). NO PROBLEMS with the solar battery as the watch holds a full charge. I've dropped it and bumped it on occasions, no scratches on the protected "rubber watch case and watchband. ZERO scratches on the bezel and dial." The LCD and backlight are very clear so it is easy to read the time both day and night. When I bought this watch I chose not to have 'Atomic Time Keeping' as it is just one more thing to go wrong. As this watch is only a few seconds fast per month, instead what I do during DST is set my watch 1 minute early than when it is ready to be switched to regular time or vice-versa. My watch is never off by more than 1 minute after 6 months. If necessary, I have worn this watch 24/7 in the hot desert sun, pouring rain, and swimming with no problems. I had one of the early G-Shock watches in the 1980s and was curious after 15+ years how strong the G-Shock can stand up to punishment. A few G-Shocks later, I don't feel as if I need to punish this watch for the sake of testing. I'll let Casio do the G-Shock testing, and I'll enjoy wearing the watch. Doing my own testing was only a waste of my own money, only to find the G-Shocks are more durable than 99+% of all other watches. The 1% are "G-Shock clones" in which I have no wish to pit the durability of the G-Shock that has already proven itself as solid and reliable to me in the past 30 years. ... show more
