  • Works great and easy to mount.
Works great. Did it by myself but would recommend a 2nd person to help. The videos really helped, so I recommend watching them.

  • Excellent hitch saved me a lot of money
This bitch worked out great for my Honda CRV 2022 that I wanted to mount my top of the line Quikr Mach 2 bike rack for the ebike. Super strong matched car perfectly. Had it installed in South Carolina at a U-Haul location. Mechanics doing the install said it was a great fitting hitch. So very happy with it as the hitch itself is nice and flush up against the bumper not sticking out beyond the bumper. ... show more

  • Not an easy installation in a 2017 CRV
2017 Honda CRV with single exhaust. There were no problems with the fit, but the installation was not easy. I have installed at least a dozen hitches and I have worked professionally as a mechanic in the past and I am well equipped with tools. I removed three rubber muffler hangers and still had only about 3 inches of clearance to fish the bolts through the frame member and get the off balance hitch in position above the muffler and secure the nuts. The side without the muffler was easy. Taking off the bottom plastic cover that connects to the bumper cover was not difficult, but was annoying and resulted in two broken bolts. Plan on jacking up the car and making yourself comfortable, it's not a quick job. You will also need to cut good size notches in the bottom plastic cover and the bumper cover. If you're not experienced and well equipped don't do this installation yourself. U-Haul will earn their money on this installation. They gave me three fish wires to thread through the hitch holes which would work better with two people since the hitch is off balance and hard to hold in position to align the bolt holes unless you have a helper. I made some plastic bolt retainers to keep the bolts firmly in place and it made the installation easier. You'll need to make or buy four 3/8 inch bolt retainers if you want to go that route. ... show more

  • Fit perfectly for Honda CRV 2024 hybrid sport.
This thing is built solid. Easy to install. Took me 2.5 hrs. I used ramp to raise the car for easy to work under.

  • Installing on a 2025 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid
First of all, I bought this class III hitch for my bike rack. I have no intention of towing a trailer with this vehicle. Now for the installation…It’s a tight fit but it does fit. I kept getting hung up trying to slide the hitch past the recovery loop. Be patient! The directions for trimming the lower fascia are incorrect (at least for my year and model of CR-V). The directions tell you to cut it back 1.375 inches. I had to trim the fascia back 1.75 inches to get it to nest around the hitch and reconnect on the underside. Additionally, There is a separate layer of rigid plastic under the fascia that also needs to be trimmed back. There is no mention of this layer in the directions. Be careful when cutting this layer. The sensor cable for the hatch leg kick are mounted on this layer. I unclipped the cable and pulled it out of the way prior to cutting. Otherwise, I’m happy with the directions and the install. ... show more

  • Ok I suppose
- Con 1: Twisted: I propped this on my stone countertop, and noticed the flanges didn't sit flush. Checked my shims, and found a 1mm offset from one corner to the next. The shipping box was in good condition, and there was no sign of cracked paint, so I can only presume this is a mfg. issue. - Con 2: Paint: The paint is quite thin...thinner than I'd expect for a steel part. A little clear coat would go a very long way. - Con 3: Aero: On the highway the car is more easily impacted/swayed by side-winds. A little bit of plastic could have helped to make smoother transitions. Not an issue while towing. - Con 4: A cut-out template would have saved a lot of time. - Con 5: Less than a foot of edge-trim channel would make cutting my bumper feel less risky. - Con 6: A little bit of thread locker would go a very long way - Con 7: This was designed for far more weight than my car can tow, and that extra material is heavy. It's great that I needn't worry about loading the hitch to capacity (3,500 lbs.), but I really only need a 2" receiver for my 1,500 lbs. (max) car. Pro1: Stiffened the chassis: the rear-end feels tighter (beyond being a little heavier). Pro 2: Heavy duty: It's nice knowing I have something more substantial than a flimsy plastic bumper back there. I'd argue that this is easier to do on your back, than standing. Just use your legs to hold the hitch up while threading the bolts makes this possible as a 1-person job. ... show more

  • Beware if you have Honda CR-V!
If you need a hitch receiver for Honda CR-V, do NOT buy from here. I selected my vehicle model and year (2019) which was stated as being correct and compatible. I was lead to the item to buy for my vehicle make, model, and year, then purchased it. Upon arrival (which was very quick), I was provided instructions for Honda CR-V 19’ but it was the wrong size entirely. It did not fit my Honda CR-V at all and was definitely a waste of time to try and figure out if we needed to remove the base board of the vehicle or not (hint, you don’t need to remove anything if it is the right fit). Found a video tutorial and the shape and dimensions of the Hitch Receiver was completely different from what I received. No removal of any part of the vehicle and all braces and alignments were perfect in the video. At the end of the day, it is worth going to UHaul for this type of attachment and additional cost. I would not waste your time or money here. For those who say it worked great, maybe I just received the wrong receiver with the right instruction manual or maybe you didn’t have a Honda CR-V, but regardless, I would save your time and money. ... show more

  • Easy install
Fits, looks & works great! Easy install just have to drop exhaust a bit & trim off a small piece of bumper for fit.
