Purchased this camera to use in my car so that I can have a set of eyes on my newborn baby at all times.     • No more anxiety!
I had so much anxiety about driving alone with my baby in the car because I wouldn’t be able to see him or get to him in time if he had a bad spit up and started to choke on it. I first got a mirror and realized that was not going to do it for me. The quality of the mirror was horrible and I couldn’t see enough if I looked through my rear view mirror to the mirror in the backseat. I’d have to turn my head to look in the mirror in the backseat and that was a pain and also not safe. I saw someone post about a monitor for the car and I had no idea they were even a thing! I immediately looked for one and decided on this one because it had great reviews and was also a good price. It came fast and installation was really easy. I drive a 2021 Mazda CX5 and my baby sits behind the passenger seat. The cord is long enough to go from the backseat headrest, under the front seat, and plug in the front. That was one of my biggest concerns was that the cord wouldn’t be long enough. The image quality is pretty good, it could always be better though. It also has night vision which is so great! Having this monitor has saved me so much and I no longer have anxiety about driving with my baby alone. I can see him the whole time I’m driving, safely, compared to only every once in awhile since I would have to turn my head to look in the backseat at the mirror. It has also been a life saver because my baby spit up bad and started choking on it. He didn’t make any sounds so I wouldn’t have known. I was able to pull over and get my baby out of the car seat in time to help him. I honestly don’t know how people drive in the car without a monitor to see their baby. I know I can’t do it! This product was so easy to install, and works exactly as described. I’m so glad we went with this one rather than the $200 wireless one we were looking at. This camera is cheap, and works so great. It turns itself on as soon as I start my car, and the picture is clear and crisp. The auto night mode switches itself on when the light is low, and the night mode is also great quality. I haven’t had to think about adjusting or messing with it since it’s been installed, and I have the peace of mind as soon as I get in and start my car, I can see my sweet babe perfectly clear in any condition.     • I can actually see my baby
Like most of you, I started with the mirror on the head rest. Well when driving, and looking in the rear view mirror, then through the other mirror, my baby's face was basically the size of a marble and I couldn't see anything, this was especially true at night. This camera basically solved all my issues! The camera is super clear, I can see my baby in full HD, and the night vision actually works perfect. The screen is huge! Which is what I wanted, so I found it made the most sense to place it further down the windshield. Setup tool literally 5 minutes. Highly recommend, and people, the price is right!! ... show more

The 7 inching baby cam is amazing, and far superior to the 4.3 inch one. Here is a comparison of the two: Night vision 7 inch: it's clear as daylight (pictures attached)! 4 inch: only visible when I had an exterior source of light (e.g. a truck stopped behind me at the stoplight). Screen mirroring (required to switch from front facing to rear facing) 7 inch: super easy: the adjustment is made by pressing a button on the screen. 4 inch: medium difficulty: a cable needs to be cut, for rear facing, and then reattached, for front facing. Screen mounting bracket 7 inch: can be raised and lowered, and it can be tilted left or right horizontally (very important if the mounting surface is not perfectly level) 4 inch: can be raised and lowered, but no left/ right tilt Power features 7 inch: 12V cigarette lighter and USB A 4 inch: only 12V cigarette lighter Identical features: - both screens have plenty of features, including the adjustment of color, brightness, contrast, hue. - for both versions the installation is a breeze and the cable for the cam is really, really long. I have a midsize sedan, the cam is installed on the back seat, and I still have about 6 - 7 feet of cable left, which makes me think that it could also be installed on a third row of seats, for those with a van or a truck. - the 12V cigarette lighter has a power button making the turning off and an of the camera just a push of a button. Bottm line The 7 inch version is far superior to the 4 inch version and it is worth every penny. The only extra feature I would hope to see in the future, to really make this a perfect product, would be the ability to record the video on a memory card. I would definitely pay $20 - $25 extra for the ability to record. ... show more
