My sister had bought this exact same gift for my mom for Christmas and after seeing it that evening we went and bought one for my in-laws as well. The picture quality is great annd clear and we loved being able to even see some video on it with sound! I love just sitting and watching what picture comes up next. I have seen these for quite some time and decided to buy one - LOVE IT!!! I purchased one for my mother and one for myself. She lives far away, and this allows her to see my photos/videos in real time! Instructions were easy to understand, setup was quick and the download of the App went smoothly. The plug-in bar also works as your frame stand - it can be horizonal or vertical. I've included a photo of my dogs, you can see that if the frame sits horizontal, the photo is cutoff. If I move it to sit vertical, the photo shows as taken. It allows you to show the photo as is, fit it to the frame, and you can move the photo around to pick the parts you want to focus on. The gallery will show all the photos you’ve added to your frame. The App allows you to add another person’s digital photo frame so you can send photos to them. I was also able to get my siblings to send photos to my mother’s frame via their cell phone without having a digital photo frame themselves! It shares what we are doing in real time, so when you are living life, others can join you as if they are there themselves. This is such a blessing, being able to share those special moments with others who are not nearby. So much better than using social media! And the best part is I can go to work or run errands, come home, and see the message bar on the screen that tells me there are new photos that were added! With time, you will want to delete some photos, as you don’t want to overload the digital photo frame. For myself, after a while I like to pick and choose which ones I want to keep seeing, I like having the flexibility. This App has you add digital photo frames that others have, creating a list of people to send/receive from. It also allows you to send certain photos to certain people, so not everyone gets the same thing unless you select all of them. The only drawback I’ve found with this is that I can’t figure out which photos I’ve sent to who! While I can select who is getting a photo from my list of names, I didn’t see a way to view what I’ve sent to my mother or brother, for example. I’d have to go back through my instructions or reach out to the manufacturer. This would be a great feature, as now I’ve tried to send different photos to different people, I have no clue what exactly I’ve sent!     • Decent Digital Photo Frame Though Not A lot Of Features Or Options For The Price

Let me say upfront this is my first digital photo frame and it was an impulse buy. I always wanted a digital photo frame but they are rather pricey. A $100 dollar frame for half off was an offer I couldn’t refuse. Thus I purchased this item without much research into the product. First off, I have no need for its prime feature, the ability to share images via WiFi from your mobile device with family and friends. So that feature was not set up or tested. But when I read it had a WiFi feature I made an erroneous assumption. I assumed if I could connect the frame to my WiFi, I could easily copy pictures from my computer over to the frame. This was not the case. Unless you use your smart phone to copy over images, you have to use a SD card. The card is not included and must be purchased separately. This required a lot more time and effort than needed. First, taking the extra step in purchasing a SD card. Then plugging it into my computer. It took about an hour to copy pictures over onto the SD card. I was being selective so some of that time was on me. I copied nearly 8000 jpg images onto the SD card. I then had to put the SD card into the digital frame. It took about 10 or 15 minutes for a gallery of thumbnail images to appear on the device. I thought I was done. But no! You had to choose which images you wanted to then copy over! This was not obvious. But I could tell you could click on individual thumbnail images or there was a check box on top that I correctly guessed would select all the images. None of this is explained to you in either the manual or onscreen prompts. Here’s the kicker, it took between 4 and 5 hours (I lost count) to copy over nearly 8000 images onto the digital photo frames hard drive! Once the images were copied over I did some adjustments like screen brightness and set to auto slideshow. I set the images to “Fit The Frame” opposed to “Fill The Frame” which would crop images in unexpected ways. Here are my conclusions: The Pro’s: The device is very easy to set up. Navigation is generally intuitive. (Though they have you guess on how to import the images) WiFi set up in seconds and I had no issues making a connection to my network. Holds a lot of images! I imported 8000 images and still had 25% free storage space left over. Digital picture frame can be displayed in landscape or in portrait orientation. Can double as a digital clock. Time display can be turned on or off. The Con’s: Cannot use WiFi to copy pictures directly over from your computer. Low screen quality. Images are rather grainy. Images aren’t colorful or vibrant. While I set the images to fit the frame every 10th or so image randomly fills the frame and cuts off parts of the image. VERY slow coping pictures over from a SD card. (If you’re coping over a lot of images) No slide show display options. I don’t like the “quick image change” effect. Its to abrupt. There's no options for slow transition or desolve for example. No other connection options like USB ports. Accepts limited image file types. No remote. I could excuse the lack of features and picture quality on a cheaper digital picture frame but at about $100 dollars retail I expected better. The resolution is cleary stated on the package and in the product description so I can’t really complain about the picture quality in retrospect. The picture randomly filling the screen when I want it to fit the screen appears to be a bug however. Being my first digital photo frame I learned a few things. Next time I'll look for a frame with higher picture resolution and I know what to look for in extra features. The picture quality here is very average. Also word of advice, decide if you prefer your pictures in landscape or portrait mode and then only load landscape or portrait images. Other wise pictures that are in a different orientation of the display frame will be much to small to view. At half price I feel I got what I paid for, but it’s no “thrills” features and options are a surprise for its regular retail price. Time will tell how robust the device is. I may attempt to delete all the images and start again. I haven’t experimented with all the features for the product or gone over every feature available. See product description.
