If anyone tells you a diaper Genie is not needed with a baby/toddler then they haven't had kids recently! These bags do an amazing job of holding in all those unpleasant odors. We used these bags with our Genie for all 3 of our kids and had no complaints! They are super easy to replace cartridges and also easy to tear off and tie closed once your Genie is full. The material is thick enough that we never had an issue with a full bag tearing open. I like that the bags are not scented to hide the odor but rather just do a good job of keeping the odor enclosed.     • Don’t try to save money with off-brand, get these

I love saving money when possible if I don’t have to get the name brand. Do not do that with these! I got the Amazon ones and while the smell doesn’t come through the bag, the tension is wrong on the dispenser, a ton of bag is wasted because every time you shove a diaper in the genie more bag pulls out. I have never had that problem with these, they work perfectly and I am sure they are cheaper when you consider all of the bag you are not wasting. Also don’t believe the lies that you can use normal garbage bags in them. 1. It is a pain to put in, 2. It does NOT hold the smell in, 3. You can’t get the bag out once it’s full because the bag fills to the shape of the container and you can’t pull it through the opening at the top. ... show more

If you have babies you know how smelly a number 2 diaper is! Especially if you throw it in the regular trash can, that smell will linger until you take out the trash. I love our diaper genie and these bags because it's easy to use and they contain the stinkiest parts of having a baby. My sons changing station was in our room for the first 6 months of his life and with the Diaper Genie, we never noticed any scents at all...until we go to change out the bag, then it hits you, and makes you that much more thankful for this magic products. Pricey bags, but so worth it. The “years supply” of refills lasted us for 6 months, but we also use the bags for every diaper, not just dirty ones.
