  • Well built.
What I like of this gun is that can take up to 1½ long pin nails. What I dont like is: Weight. About 4 pounds with no batteries( The only reason why I returned). Milwaukee is 3 pounds.

  • Great tool
You are not using this to frame a house but it works great when used as intended.

  • Love it!
I made the mistake of buying a Metabo HPT cordless pin nailer that has done nothing but jam and misfire. Even though 98% of my cordless tools are DeWalt, I was sucked in by the lower price and I honestly wasn't sure I would use it regularly. The more uses I found for a cordless pin nailer, the more I used it, and the more disappointed I became. I finally bit the bullet and bought the DeWalt unit and it has been a completely different experience. I will say that the DeWalt is heavier than the Metabo, but it is so much more tool as well. The driving depth is consistent. The tool does not bounce at all when it fires due to the weight of the head. I've used it to drive ⅝", ¾", and 1⅜" pins into maple, oak, and yellow pine and it has performed perfectly. The only issue I have had was a misfeed when I used cheap off-brand pins. DeWalt recommends either Dewalt or Porter-Cable pins, but I have had great success with Senco as well. I don't recommend Grex though. Grex work perfectly in my Hitachi pneumatic pin nailer, but they are too weakly joined to handle the thump from a cordless unit. The LED lighting illuminates your target area well and the fact that they switch to red when it is time to reload is a great feature. I do a lot of custom trim work for cabinetry installations and find myself using this thing a lot rather than setting up my compressor. It has been a positive addition to my arsenal. ... show more

  • OK I'm impressed.
I've been a contractor for 40 years. The one thing I hate to do is take a compressor to a jobsite just for my pin nailer for just a few finish tasks. I finally said F___I_ and bought this. Now I'm a GREX guy so I was hesitant to go Dewalt but GREX wants an arm and a leg for their cordless, that's why I put up with taking a compressor. Had it at several jobs and it preforms flasslessly. MY ONE COMPLAINT.......... It's very hard to find various lengths of pin nails and this gun is VERY picky about what it is willing to use. I 've been able to shoot Bostich and Dewalt brand pins, nothing else. ... show more

  • It works.
Does what it’s supposed to. Light, accurate, no jams yet.

  • This a a great tool
Having been connected to air my whole life its so nice to not have to charge up the compressor to use a nail gun. This unit is very versitle. It's not to heavy but heavier than a similar sized air nailer when the battery is on. The nicest thing is the size of the hole is leaves is almost invisible. The only con I have is the safty. You can shoot this gun without having to push a safy on the tip. There is a trigger safty. But no tip safty. This could be a pro and a con. My air nailer will leave a undent on soft wood. This nailer dont do that. Other wise its a great little nailer and i already have a ton of dewalt batteries. ... show more
