Description

The 15-Gauge Cordless Angled Finish Nailer NT1865DMAS allows the user to move easily around the jobsite without hoses or compressors! Equipped with brushless motor technology and powered by a compact 3.0 Ah Lithium Ion battery, it is capable of driving up to 1,100 nails per charge. It employs a unique air spring drive system (similar to Metabo HPT's pneumatic line) that uses compressed air to drive each nail resulting in zero ramp up time, increased shooting speed, recoil that feels like a pneumatic nailer, quicker response time between drives, and better flush driving -- even at an angle. It also features a low battery indicator, selective actuation, tool-less jam release, tool-less depth of drive, variable position belt hook and LED light. This 15-Gauge cordless angled finish nailer drives nails from 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" in length and can be used for a variety of applications including chair rail, install molding, cabinetry and other finish applications.

It’s rare that an item exceeds my expectations for it by such a wide margin. I spent a long time debating cordless nail guns. I went back and forth between proper framing hammers and finishing hammers and then of course. Brands. I settled on the metabo 15 ga finishing nailer and feel I made the right call. Framing hammers shoot framing nails. They’re large, heavy and expensive. If you’re actually doing structural framing this is clearly what you need. But for everything short of framing out a house that’s not so clear. The geometry on a 15 ga finish nail won’t split even thin wood. But has enough rigidity to hold lumber in place. This past weekend I built a set of outdoor furniture and some dividers/Plant walls. I used the gun to hold structural members in place while I squared them and put in pocket screws. With out this gun the job would have taken twice as long. I think I shot around 450 2 1/2” nails on one charge (battery didn’t die. I just finished). The metabo is fast, relatively light and very powerful. I couldn’t be happier. ... show more

I really like this nailer. I reviewed several different brands and checked them out at the local big box retailers. I chose the Metabo because it was very affordable for the quality of the nailer. I have been using it for quite some time now, and it has never failed me. It's pretty light weight and has good power. Very easy to use and the functionality of the gun is very straightforward. Light and easy to use. Battery lasts forever, seemingly. Easy to load, has never jammed and works like a dream. Only complaint is that is does not have enough power to nail two pieces of Hardi boards (concrete trim boards) together, this is the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. They should fix that. This is my first battery operated finish nailer, my review is based on 30 years of cabinet making/ trim carpentry. For use on small jobs saves me the time of not having to haul a air compressor and hose into the job site, not having to watch where my hose is hitting a finished surface and leaving a black mark, the price point was within my budget and uses the same nails as my senco nailers. Bought this nailer 2 weeks ago and I am very disappointed, It won't drive nails all the way down, tried 3 different batteries (all fully charged) and set depth all the way deep and it would not drive 2 inch nails into pine all the way, I had 1 to 1 1/4 inch standoff on every nail. Checked the depth adjustment and made sure it went all the way to the deep setting and it did, Called Metabo HPT and they said to return it to Amazon. I did return it for a full refund (thanks Amazon !! ) and bought a Makita 15 gauge nailer and it drives 2 inch nails in solid red oak all the way. I am using good quality nails ( SENCO) so I don't know what the problem is. ... show more
