  • This is an awesome nailer / stapler!
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
I have the DeWalt 18 gauge brad nailer, but it won't shoot staples. I went to use my pneumatic nailer / stapler the other day and it had broken. The little safety mechanism wouldn't depress all the way in. so the gun wouldn't fire. I went online to buy a new pneumatic nailer / stapler and saw this. I have two other Kimo tools. The 1/2" impact and the 3/8" ratchet. They are both very good, reliable tools, so I went ahead and bought this too. After setting it up I am very impressed with it! My DeWalt uses angled 18 gauge brad nails that are a little harder to find than the straight ones and a little more expensive. The DeWalt also will not fire staples. Just brad nails. This Kimo uses the more common straight brad nails and standard 18 gauge staples and it functions better than the Dewalt too. The DeWalt takes longer to "spin up" than this Kimo does, and its louder than the Kimo. Both the DeWalt and the Kimo have a built-in soft tip, that you can't lose. That's nice. A friend of mine has a porter cable that uses little replaceable plastic soft tips. he is always losing them and they are not cheap to replace. The Kimo's is built in and cannot be lost. That's a big bonus. When you are installing cabinets with a fine paint job on them, losing the dang soft tip is very annoying. I am thinking of selling my DeWalt and just using this Kimo for everything. Kimo tools are great. They are offered at great prices and I have never experienced a quality issue with any of them. I am a Kimo fan now with three of their tools in my arsenal. ... show more

  • Light-weight and preforms well EDit for Video?
Style: Bare Tool
The media could not be loaded. “I purchased this light weight Kimo Hedge Trimmer for my wife as a Christmas gift , from Amazon. We opened the package Christmas Day, and I put the battery on charge, overnight. Today, December 26, we decided to try the hedge trimmer on our multiple hedge plants. First I would like to say that I'm very impressed with the lightweight and the balance of the hedge trimmer. I also like the safety of having, basically two trigger mechanisms, to prevent accidents. Giving my wife my camera, I started trimming my hedges. I had already trimmed to pretty good. My first attempt at using a hedge trimmer. I found that the hedge trimmer had no problem trimming my hedge plants, being sharp, and easy for me to handle. (I am 90 years old, and suffered a stroke in 2013. I have recovered fairly well, but I still have some issues.) All in all, I think the trimmer worked surprisingly well, and was easy to handle. Later, my wife (82) who I had bought this for, found that she could handle it well also. Priced reasonable and the battery outlasted me, it was still strong. So we are very satisfied with our purchase. I have made a video to include with this review. Skipjack 68, Palatka, FL 32177 ... show more

  • For wooden fence repair.
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
This works well for homeowners but probably not for commercial work. I bought it to repair my cedar fence and for the price., since it shoots staples and brads. The next dual nailer was over $250.

  • This rocks.
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
I have four or five air nailers, just hate running the compressor (noisy) or 150’ of hoses( always tangled). So shopped around and bought this. 2 batts that last. Adjustable depth 2” nails or staples and it will drive as fast as you want. But doing finish work which is what it built for, it is accurate and easy to hold and operate. Great price great value being able to do nails and staples makes it versatile. From molding trim work to chicken fencing it works. Plus the instructions are almost completely legible. ... show more

  • Tool is crap! Service is even worse.
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
I’ve had this nailer for a little over a year and used it sparingly during such time. When I tried it on my first big project, installing baseboards in my house, it stopped working. No jam, no battery fault. It just stopped. I contacted Kimo and they promised to send a new unit if they couldn’t help me get it working. After several emails back and forth I began to get suspicious. They asked for photos and videos of the non working unit and sent videos explaining its operation. Each time I did exactly what they asked for. The nailer was useless. Frustrated, I asked for the replacement they offered. They replied the shelf life of this tool is one year and they declined to send a replacement or offer any additional help. Now I’ve wasted $200 and my time. My advice…steer clear of this company. Their product and service is trash. ... show more
