The KIMO was a helpful find and worked excellently for the project I worked on at home. Was putting up a board and batten wall at home and researched how to do it. Most installed called out installing backer board on the wall using crown staples and adding the horizontal and vertical MDF slats using 2” finishing nails. When I began looking for tools to accomplish all of this, I was disappointed to learn you had to buy two tools: a crown stapler AND a finishing nailer. Then I found the KIMO on Amazon and it would do BOTH! Plus it’s cordless. This was exactly the tool I needed for this job. It worked perfectly with both crown staples and finishing nails. I couldn’t be happier. Saved me a lot of money not to have to buy two separate tools too. Came with good instructions, a carrying bag, battery, charger and the tool itself. The battery charges quickly, has an on-board charging status display and lasted me all day. Finding great products like the KIMO has cemented me into searching for tools on Amazon. I have multiple projects that I need to tackle that will require a brad nailer and a staple gun. I didn't have either of these tools and was looking for one tool to serve both purposes. I searched the Internet looking for a cordless combo option, preferably from Milwaukee or DeWalt, but I couldn't find that either of these brands made an 18- gauge brad nailer and crown stapler combo. That's what led me to the KIMO 20V 18 Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer/Stapler Kit. After reading the Kimo marketing material for this product on Amazon, reading through the reviewer comments, and learning more about Kimo I was convinced that this would be a worthwhile purchase, backed by a company with great customer service. I purchased the product on Amazon and received it within a few days. All the items in the associated picture were included in the box. Upon receiving, I was excited to start hammering in a few test staples/nails into a scrap piece of wood. Initially the gun didn't fire but that was because I didn't install the staples correctly and needed to read the instructions first. After I loaded the staples properly it worked great. This past weekend I was ready to confidently take on my first job of hanging tongue and groove panels on the wall of an 12'x'12'x9' room. I used 2" 18-gauge brad nails and adjusted the countersink knob to my desired depth and I was off. It took me two day to hang the pine tongue and groove and each day I started out with a fully charged battery that lasted the entire day firing in hundreds of brad nails. I appreciated the battery life indicator on the battery because towards the end of the day I was wondering how much I had left in the battery and it was only to orange so I knew I would make it through the day. The weight of the gun wasn't a problem for me as it was very easy for me to maneuver the gun into a position of choice so I could get the nail driven in. I also appreciated LED lights that turn on when you pull the trigger but given the fact I was working in a lit up area I wondered if I could turn that option off to save battery life but you can't turn it off and the two LED lights didn't impact the battery. I only had one self inflicted jam and that is when I switched from staples to brad nails and it was completely operator error and I was able to quickly clear the jam. I never experienced a jam shooting in the hundreds of brad nails and the only time it wouldn't fire is when I needed more brad nails. I am completely thrilled with this purchase and it has meet all of my needs. It seems to be a quality product built for the long term. I'm excited to begin tackling my other projects with this unit and will look at Kimo for other cordless products in the future. ... show more

Review for Kimo Model 9418A, 18GA 20V Cordless Brad Nailer/Stapler. What’s included? Cordless nailer/stapler, carry bag, instruction manual, charging station, singular 20V lithium-ion battery (2.0 Ah), nails Qty. 700; 1-5/8”, staples Qty 300; 1-5/8”, and a hex key (not shown in pic). Why not 5 stars? Three “minor” reasons for the loss of 1 star. The box it came in was not sealed. That made me presumed I was going to be missing something, I wasn’t, but yeah seal the box. Secondly, the carry bag does not allow the nailer/stapler to sit flush in the bottom of the bag, especially when nails/staples are placed in the inside compartments. Lastly, when inserting the battery into the charging station there is no tactile click, or any felt retention. I’m a DeWalt guy, maybe I just assumed that was how it always is? Overall, these are petty issues, but I’m hyper critical and giving a review so... Now why it probably does deserve five stars. It worked perfectly straight out of the box! I gave the battery a good hour of charging and then loaded it with a stick of Bostitch 18GA 5/8” nails. I had a piece of doorstop that needed love and the depth was already spot on for this task. (10 clicks short of max depth on the drive depth adj. wheel.) I enjoyed that so much I went on and fixed up two other door frames that the change of season has wreaked havoc on. (incredibly old house) I deliberately started with the smallest size nails, figuring if it were going to have feeding issues it would be made clear quickly. Not a single misfire, blowout, nothing. I sure don’t miss listening to the compressor! (Or entangling myself with the hose.) As you would assume you do have to deal with additional weight if you had been using air powered tools. E.g. Like going from a Glock to a 1911. Please note, these are day one observations. I assure you if it doesn’t continue giving me this kind of joy using it, I’ll be back and notify y’all. FYI this was my first Kimo product but, unless the future dissuades me, it won’t be my last. Very satisfied! Sorry DeWalt, I just can't justify $300 or more for something I won't use super frequently. I hope this was of some value to someone. ... show more
