  • Works fabulous on finish work
I had my previous one for over twenty years. After it broke I decided it was time for a new one. This feels just like my old one and I look forward to getting twenty years from this one. Works great on my crown molding, cabinet work, and any custom finish work I need it for. Comes ready to use. Luckily I have many batteries for it. This is a great tool for any finish carpentery work I need it for. ... show more

  • Good nailer bad depth adjustment
I’ve used the heck out of this nailer. It works and saved me a lot of work. The depth adjustment knob The first couple of times I used it and just froze up and wouldn’t move anymore. I was disappointed in that but when it froze and quit working I was nailing thick wood and was working great but now I can’t use it for softer material because it will go right through it. ... show more

  • Buy it. It beats dragging an air compressor and hose.
It is so convenient for trim work. It can get into tight spaces and it uses the same battery as my DeWalt impact driver, which I also love.

  • Nailed It
DeWalt has a nice product here. I've been using Paslode nail guns with gas canisters for years and found them to be excellent but finicky. When my 16GA nailer fell three stories and essentially went dead, I decided it was time to see about using a battery powered nailer. I'm three months in and have used it on several hefty projects to excellent effect. The gun is quieter than a Paslode (but I still wear ear protection) and doesn't kick as much. Best is that the nails seem to go in just a hair below flush from almost any angel. This was not true of my previous nailer. I have become more efficient because of this tool as I don't need to nail punch those slightly raised shots so much anymore. If there is a drawback, a small one, it's that this is a heavy gun. Much heavier than my Paslode. If you do any trim work and are hunting for a good tool to help with that, I'd go with this one. It'll run you about 400 dollars as of this writing because no batteries come with it. (Something not in the description. Why?) I purchased a set of two knockoffs with a charger for 80. So, for me it was 300, plus the 80, and taxes. ... show more
