I am happy with the overall look and functionality; however, I question how durable and long lasting this product will be, but only time will tell. First thing I must say about this is that it comes in many pieces and must be assembled. Usually not a big deal; however, the instructions SUUUUCK! I should have set a timer to see how long this took me to build out, but it took the better part of an afternoon to assemble. Once I was able to decipher the diagrams and caught on to the idiosyncrasies, things flowed a little better even though there were some assumptions I had to make during assembly. They included extra piece of hardware, which I liked, and the unit came well packaged with no damage despite some damage to the outside container/box. They did a great job reinforcing the corners to prevent damage, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that, and each piece was protected from scratches caused by shifting in the box. In the end, it all came together and looks great in my office! It would have received five stars had the instructions been more clear and easier to decipher. ... show more

I gave it 5 stars, but it's not perfect. Though, I still feel that it deserves the rating. If you dont take your time and carefully follow the instructions, it will turn onto a nightmare. Also, save yourself a LOT of time and use a power screwdriver (or a drill set on low). Even so, it still took me over an hour (less that two) to put this together. I'm no novice at this, but I knew going in it was going to be time consuming (per other reviews) since it comes completely flat. It's a veneered MDF and so far the veneer has held up nicely. There were places where it chipped but that was not visible. I could see where breaking/chipping could occur on the locking disk things (honestly don't remember what they're called) if they get over-tightened. You can set hanging folders in the drawer in a left to right setup, front to back or a mix of the 2. The drawer pulls out very far, so if you go front to back, the rearmost files can still be accessed. It fits my all-in-one on top very nicely and I still have plenty of room for other items. The front faces match my desk, which was the main draw to this. It is very sturdy and has minimal jiggle when I shake it. I am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

The material is good they could charge more, well done, not too easy to put together it was about 2 2/1 hrs. Some parts we had to drill the holes but it was perfect. The box was heavy. All great I love it.

We started assembly but the cuts of each piece do not aligned to put the desk together correctly. The bottom back of the cabinet and the slit for the back do not line up. The middle drawer also does not align correctly. Everything is predrilled and cut and there are no alternative ways to put this together. If everything aligned the cabinet would work fine. Without it, it’s a disappointment and overpriced. Of course, I didn’t know that the pieces would not align until it was almost fully assembled. So now I have to take the time to disassemble the unit, repackage it, and drive to the not so local UPS to have it returned. This purchase was more of a hassle than it was worth. The good: it arrived intact, no damage to the box or the wood pieces inside, with all parts and directions. It was a bit heavy, which is to be expected I guess. Now that it’s assembled, I’d say it looks good. Not great, but good. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. All pieces were present and seemed to go together properly. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE TWO WHEELS WITH BRAKES ON THE FRONT OF THE UNIT. They are not marked in any way and it’s easy not to realize two of the five are different. The soft close hinges are a surprising and nice touch. The meh: there are a lot of pieces. Many pieces of wood, plastic, metal, lots and lots of screws, dowels, and thingamajigs of varying sizes. Do yourself a favor, lay out all the bags of parts and do not dump them out, pick them one at a time from the bags as needed. It takes a lot of space to assemble this one. You need a large, relatively empty room, or maybe outside with a drop cloth down to protect the finish. Medium sturdiness and build quality. It feels like if you don’t roll it too much or use it super heavily it should last indefinitely. On the other hand it feels like one trip in a moving van would probably do it in. The ugly: this is not my first rodeo. I recently helped my sister assemble a whole bedroom of flat pack furniture. This file cabinet took 2:42 to assemble. Yes, I said nearly THREE HOURS. There are so many screws y’all. So many. In the time it took to put this together I had helped my sister assemble the entire room of furniture AND stopped to eat lunch. This will take a while - clear your calendar, and maybe fix a drink beforehand. You’ll need it. And you have to be careful - the little metal cam lock posts are very difficult to screw in straight without cracking the particleboard. Probably the biggest flaw is the back. On most flat pack furniture of…shall we say…a Swedish background…the back is nailed on all the way around the outside of the frame to give the whole thing much more stability. This one has the back slide in, and in two pieces. It’s held in grooves, not attached to anything. So there is very little stability. You can probably set something moderately heavy on top but if it’s subject to any lateral load it’s not gonna last long. Rolling it around with something heavy on top is probably a bad idea. So, am I happy? Sorta. It’s definitely affordable, looks okay, and will be a big improvement over piles of paper on the floor. But I probably would have aimed for something higher quality if it weren’t 2022, the year that everything is out of stock. But this one does have a certain ineffable quality now: that of doneness.
