The unit is very sturdy. It was easy to put together and the color matched my work station (which was one if the reasons I bought it). I added two "locks" to keep my toddlers out. I knocked out one star due to the bottom drawer not closing all the way. I thought it was a mistake while assembling it but that does not appear to be the case. ... show more

I had an issue with the screws breaking through the top piece of the printer stand, but customer service was responsive over email and helped resolve my issue. The two drawer printer stand looks like it does in pictures. It does require about 1-2 hours of assembly so be prepared for that. This little file cabinet fits perfect in my apartment. Very sturdy. Easy to put together. Very functional. My printer fits on top. Paper on the underneath shelf, stapler,staples paperclips in the top drawer and files in the bottom. Love It 😻

    • CHEAPLY MADE, MISSING PARTS TWICE, CONVOLUTED INSTRUCTIONS, NO MANUFACTURER SUPPORT
The first time I received this cabinet, I inventoried the parts, of which there were MANY, to make sure everything needed to assemble the cabinet was included. It was not. I was missing 2 parts. Amazon was kind enough to send me another cabinet, advising me to use it for the missing parts in the first shipment. The second cabinet arrived with several pieces damaged and one of the SAME missing parts, "R-2" of the R category. In fact, the bag holding the R parts was punctured in the same place, presumably for this missing part, which is needed for the locking mechanism. Note, before I contacted Amazon the first time, I reached out directly to Devaise, requesting that they send the missing parts. To date, I have received no reply, not even an acknowledgement that my email was received. What's more, the second time around, taking a closer look at the parts, I noticed that they were poorly made and would, in my estimation, damage easily as one attempted to put it together. Final words of advise regarding the purchase of a file cabinet: stay away from wood. Stick with metal (steel, etc). ... show more

    • Nice concept of open file area, but not a good value.
What drew me to this item was the open top file area (with one small drawer and one large file drawer underneath) that I would store under my desk and I could easily roll it out to quickly access files. The wheels/casters are hard plastic and terrible. They are only about 1.25" overall (including the plastic cover around ~3/4 of the wheel) and I feel the small size is a part of the reason they are not appropriate for the product. One wheel wouldn't even rotate to roll with the other 3; it spun around and rolled fine independently, just not with the others. I have a thin area rug that this wouldn't even roll over to be able to pull it out from under the desk - which was the reason for buying it. I purchased a set of hard rubber wheels (like a good shopping cart) that have the same size screw fitting and are also 1.25" and they work beautifully (an extra $10 spent). I think I could have done better for the cost. Echoing others, I found this took an extremely long time to assemble. ... show more

I am very happy with this printer stand. It looks great. The finish is applied very well. The size was perfect for my needs. The top drawer is perfect for extra toner, and the bottom drawer hold 7 reems of paper. Personally, I didn't find it too difficult to assemble, but I am an engineer. My wife would have struggled. There were step that I could have messed up if I didn't study the illustrations closely, but there is enough detail to get everything right the first time. The kit includes plenty of hardware and all of the necessary tools. The little wrench to attach the wheels was probably the poorest quality item in the whole kit. It barely got the job done.
